No Soul or Motown thread?? Something had to be done

Like many, my teen years were dominated by soul..mostly Motown and Atlantic...its mad that you dont hear certain Motown tunes for 30 years, and when you hear it, youre singing along word for word. Seriously feel had the best years of music
Couple of parties from Jammers (Stay alive) Soul Soundsystem in London, and a couple of Motown audios from DJ Reverend P in club in Paris.
Good for those 'getting ready to go out' vibes

My parents listened to Motown when I was growing up and I love it. James Jamerson was the reason I first picked up a bass guitar.

I bought a CD from a boot sale that was all soul and motown, but versions of original songs, by the original artists, but done about twenty five years after the original songs were hits Sounded a bit like a tribute band number, so different were the renditions. Still, not bad for 50p.
