£5m for Baldock...

£3m Reading have bid for Murray.

I know who I'd prefer.

1. Nobody has bid £5m for Baldock

2. Palace haven't agreed to sell for £3m

3. Murray is about eight years older, and has completed about three matches since a serious knee injury over a year ago.

I find Moose a bit of a tool, to be honest. All he seems to do is tweet photos of himself with footballers or other famous types, or pictures of the media room food at various football stadiums, in a sort of smug "Look at what I'm doing, mortals" way.

I tend to agree, his credibility is questionable and often comes across as a figure of fun on Talksport.

At the moment he is only repeating Albion related speculation that has already been in the wider public domain for some time, so hardly a scoop.

Hopefully at least some of what The Moose is reporting is right on this occasion - but I'll believe it when player X is actually pictured at The Amex holding an Albion shirt and shaking hands with TB.

Leo had 3 years left on his contract which meant he'd always fetch a high fee, Baldock has 1 year which depresses his sale value.

Baldock doesn't have Leo's 1 goal every 2 championship games ( nearly) record.

Under those contract lengths, If Baldock is worth 5 million, Leo is worth 15m.

IIRC, Abrahams is the son in law of one of the directors of TS.
As for PC being indiscreet. Don't believe that. It's mostly guesswork. If you listen to his Seagulls Player interviews, he does a lot of guessing.[emoji16]

Moose, Bozza and Naylor. All seemingly reliable sources. I do expect the players to sign.

I think 4m would be about right....double figure striker since 2008...... just what we need.

Apart from his season in the championship you mean. I don't disagree that Baldock would be a good signing. But if that's what £4m quid gets you, then the world really has gone mad. That said Ulloa went for £8m rising to £10m, so the world probably has gone mad. I don't believe we would pay more than £2m tops for Baldock and I still think we would need another striker better than him.

You've got better expectations than I have, We might eventually get Ward if we're lucky but other than that all I'm expecting are a few loans and plenty of excuses.

This, although I don't know about the tweeting stuff, as I don't follow him.

Plus the fact that he seems to continuously mumble his way through sports bulletins – not an ideal trait if you're on the radio – is quite irritating.

But if he's well connected (like that guy in the afternoon SEEMS to be) then good luck to him, even if he does come across as a prize pillock.

Here's the article
http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Steve-...-striker-Sam/story-22073499-detail/story.html

Cotterill quotes only and also says "different matter" if albion up their bid. He reckons £5m but then he's not the owner is he ?

All that says to me is we bid a six figure sum (less than 1m) and Cotterill is playing the push the price up game and plucks 5m out of the air. As you say he's only the manager and so probably has little say in how much they sell for

He tweeted we had a new keeper two days before Stockdale arrived, although to be fair, it was a fairly open secret.

I like this tweet from yesterday.

I doubt this tweet is just based on us signing Clayton.

Still expect 2-3 decent signings.

He got 5 in 21 league apps for West Ham and 10 in 34 in Bristol City's relegation campaign. In short no better than what we got. But the way things are going atm, Bristol City will probably offer him a better deal anyway.
