The seaside.
Did the Hudd to Manc Vic bit of the ale trail a couple of years ago. The pubs actually on the platforms were tiny (made Manningtree's look like the King & Queen in comparison) and only had piss week (sub-5%) ales when I did it, so wasn't overly impressed.

Now that drinking on tube trains themselves is banned, they should bring back pubs on underground platforms - seemingly many of the news kiosks/sweet shops on platforms were previously boozers.

So..........what beers have they got on?

Couple of local real ales from Longman and Brighton Pier, a couple of faux-craft beers and the usual main-stream lagers. It's okay but nothing special.

Always found Bonapartes a strangely-reassuring Brightonian seedy drinking-hole of last resort before you got on a train. Few passengers dared venture in there, the bar staff were a bit creepy if not downright sinister, as a result you got served straight away. Seem to recall it had the train departure times on an even cruder form of Ceefax than the original, should such a thing be possible. DFLs would have HATED it.

Great place to meet someone where you could be very comfortable of not bumping into anyone who knew you

The name is somewhat troubling.
Afterall they didn't ask permission from Sussex's premier cycling thread if they could encroach on our turf.

Do you mean Brighton Bier?

I think they make some EXCELLENT ales and am delighted to hear they're expanding their operations. Their pub on Dean Street has quickly become one of my favourites in all of town. You want a vodka and coke? TOUGH TITS. Beer and cider. And plenty of them. JOB DONE

Yes. Typo. The dispensery is class. Cyclist is alright but as Thpp says it won't make 2 league games

Strange name for a pub in a railway station, I first heard about this pub around the same time as the London to Brighton bike ride, no bikes allowed on trains that day if I'm correct. :p

Popped in over the weekend, good atmosphere considering a transport hub, made a good job in my opinion.

If they're open before 6.30am this could be seriously bad news for my waistline. #BaconSarnieOnTheTrain

They may not be but Bagelman is definitely open at that time, bacon bagel, get in!

I've been in there a couple of times. Nice place; perfect for people-watching. And drinking.

Indeed, great people watching if you grab a table outside, spent an hour there and passed in no time, excellent ale too.
