Enjoy your big-talking gobshite foreign owner while it lasts steveLCFC . Whilst spunking £180m on your squad over the next 3 years, he'll saddle your club with a bunch of players on absolutely maHOOsive contracts - so you'd better hope he's in this for the long term, and that you don't get relegated, then see him lose interest and walk away.

Mind you, Leicester did pretty well out of their last spell in Administration didn't they. Got relegated, had millions written off, but kept that PL squad together, went straight back up AND got a free brand new plastic identikit stadium in the bargain. You must be very proud.

Class act.

I think perhaps you should do some research before you go spouting your mouth off with incorrect facts.

FREE stadium? Would that be the stadium that until last season we still owed £17m on and were paying out £1m a year alone in interest payments on. Thanks to the owners though who have finally paid off Teachers Fund who owned the stadium .

The season we got relegated every single player was up for sale. We sold about £12m worth of players like Savage, Rowett and Piper. We accepted bids on other players like Izzet, who turned down a £6m move to 'Boro as he didn't want to move up north.

The club had agreed to pay all debtors back in full, but over time to avoid administration. The only person not willing to do so was Eric Hall the agent (whose client Dennis Wise we had sacked a month before for breaking the jaw of another player over a game of cards). His reasons for doing so... well we can only speculate.

No doubt the club was at fault for overspending, but there is this assumption put about by the press that we didn't try and sort the problem, that no players were sold etc, which is an absolute fabrication.

We were the 26th team in the country to go into administration, there have been 34 since... including 4 teams that are now sat in the premier league. Not really the only ones to have a few idiots in charge without the money to back up their spending.

We have a lifelong fan in charge, and the money he is investing is primarily in the infrastructure of the club. The club is also striving to adhere to FFP and becoming self-sufficient in the medium to long term.

You've got some foreign owner running his mouth off about spending £180m on players over the next 3 years. Bit of a difference.
Again, perhaps some research wouldn't go amiss. Our owners have also spent a lot of money on infrastructure, millions spent on the ground and training facilities, millions more on the academy to get Cat 1 status. Since Pearson has returned he's cut back massively, with much of our losses being historic transfers and costs from the Sven shambles 3/4 years ago.

Also, you should perhaps search out the FULL article from the Thai press rather than the selective snippet the English press decided to report. If you did you would see their aim is to consolidate first and foremost and to stay in the premier league for two or three years. With the long term (if rather optimistic) aim of the top 5, which he said could cost £180m.

This somehow gets put back together as "we're spending £180m in the next 3 years" by the press over here.

If my team has just finished the season top of the Championship, I would be enjoying its success, rather than going onto another club’s forum and winding up their fans.

Another knob has turned up.

You Steve's brother?

Nope, just someone who wondered what you lot thought of Ulloa and then saw Easy talking some bull plop.

Got nothing against you guys and hoped you'd get promoted over the sheep shaggers and QPR. The performance at your ground was the best against us all season (I won't count the home game as players got plastered a few nights before). Not read what Steve has written so don't really know if he's being a Knob to wind you up.

I don't know if you had noticed we have bid on one of your players, that's why I am here. Certainly not here to wind anyone up, was just looking for opinions on a target.

Keywords there are PROMOTION PARTY..

Anyway...

Best of luck next year, good to see Leicester back in the top flight, got a couple of mates who are foxes fans. Hopefully you can take Ulloa with Upson and we can rebuild with the money. (He isn't worth more than £4M in my head as he has trouble staying on his feet yet never goes down convincingly. For the great player he is, he does lack strength which at the top flight I believe would be more evident.) We could well both have tough seasons ahead next year and both need to invest wisely, at least you have the money for some strengthening whereas we seem to be looking mare bargain basement or sell to buy, on a positive note we do have some very promising youngsters coming through the ranks and hopefully we can churn a few more out with the new training facilities.
Don't let the bell-ends on here wind you up too much. You won the league and were good for it. (The league table doesn't lie!) From our point of view had 2 of our best performances of the season again you which happened to coincide with 2 of your worst.
Do us a favour next year and smash Palace and Villa for me!

All the best in the Prem.

Yeah he is doing just that. A fair few here who should know better getting wet knickers about it as well.

Edit - Genuine opinion of Ulloa is that he's a superb Champ level striker and well worth a shot at the Prem. Looks cumbersome sometimes, and was occasionally frustrated by 'ploughing a lone furrow' (bleurgh) up top, but defenders hate him and he has a knack of scoring goals which is quite important for someone like him. One of the very few players to truly rattle Wes Morgan last season. I'd be gutted to see him go but would find it hard to turn down 6m+.

When your very first sentence on your very first post is:

I think perhaps you should do some research before you go spouting your mouth off

I'd say that you have definitely come on here to wind people up. Just saying, like.

There is a big difference between setting someone straight and winding them up. He was massively incorrect in what he was saying, so I think I'm justified in asking him to perhaps do some research. If I was spouting incorrect rubbish about your team, I would expect to be put right.

Again I will repeat I'm not sure to wind anyone up, if someone doesn't like being corrected then I can't do much about that I'm afraid.

Anyway... how much do you think your board are holding out for?

We are quite happy with the player, thank you, and do not need your money.

Given that Leo represents around 20 goals at least to us next season, we'll be holding out for as much as we can get. A lot depends on how much (if at all) Leo's head has been turned. Your board have to realise if we let Leo walk we are going to have to give ourselves the best chance of recruiting a suitable replacement, and good strikers are not cheap. if what we have heard is to believed we have already met the upcoming FFP figure for next season so the NEED to sell is not there from a financial perspective.

Congrats on the promotion btw, well deserved.

Can you not see it was the way you said it that got people's backs up? It wound people up ergo it was a wind-up. It was your very first sentence too.

Yeah, I would imagine if you were anywhere close to struggling with FFP you would have been tempted with £4/5m.

Who was it who found him for you? Was it the scouting network you still have in place, or was it a Poyet contact (I'm presuming he signed for you under him).

Just as him spouting lies got my back up... perhaps he was on a wind up?

But this is a Brighton forum and he's a Brighton fan. You really are one unhappy camper. I'm going to leave you to it. Mind your blood pressure, eh?

I'm perfectly calm, just get annoyed why people talk out of their arse about my club. The posts were directed directly to him and nobody else, I've not said anything but good things about your club, if he gets wound up by my comments then that's his problem.

With the rest of you I'm here to talk about Ulloa and am prepared to do so sensibly.
