Remy can't play, Morrison is available if we get to Wembley. Of the 4 in the playoffs the form table for the last 8 games is

Derby
Brighton
QPR
Wigan

If we're not going up, I'd rather lose in the semis than lose in the final.

It is the utter pits to lose in the semi finals - they happen so soon after the league season and to be dumped out of them within a week of the league season ending is GRIM.

1982, 1986 and 2003 ... They stay in the memory bank a long time. Don't want to add another to that, not even for a day out at Wembley.

82 was fine.

One of my favourite football memories.

We were the better team but didn't win. That's football. So proud to see my club in the Cup Final.

At least the players performed to their potential.

86 was hopeless, an awful, shocking display. After beating Chelsea and Liverpool to get there to lose so humiliatingly was terrible.

2003 doesn't count because it wasn't at Wembley!

Who cares to be honest.

We haven't beaten Derby so no need to worry about the players of Wigan or QPR.

What?

I'd like a day out at Wembley please.

Haven't seen us play there since that horrible final v Oxford.

That's one bad memory I need to expunge.

Oxford?

Not worthy a thread on it's own, but a seriously expensive chart:-

League Cup (Milk Cup??) final, something like 1986 if I recall correctly.

Imagine QPR & Oxford contesting the League Cup final now :lolol:

Though actually I don't suppose it's all that different to Swansea v Bradford, plus Oxford were probably first division back then. John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, etc.
