Well, the deadline has gone, and we still have in excess of 20,000 (that's more than TWENTY THOUSAND) season ticket holders, who knows how many more by August. I'd never say that this club of ours is perfect, or that it is being run absolutely perfectly, but one thing for sure, those running it are doing something very right to acheive this. Those years of protesting, the shite that Archer left us in, Priestfield, Withdean, they maybe becoming a distant memory, but never forgotton. For me now, I am looking forward to the season, whenever it may be, that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Liverpool visit the Amex as our peers, I don't think I'll have too much longer to wait.

Cheers DK, and Cheers TB

The club should run a 'counter' on the website so we can all follow the number of STs for next year. Can only encourage people to sign up.

As good a post to start the weekend with as any. I'll be taking those positive vibes up to Bolton tomorrow!

Hold on, hold on, a positive, sensible and happy post on NSC .... not acceptable Phil sorry!

Completely agree, we should now cast aside talk of Archer, Gillingham, Withers & embrace what we have:

A shiny new stadium

A reasonable team with promise and some great youngsters coming through

A brand new Academy & Training Facility on the horizon

20,000+ Season Tickets Holders IN SEASON THREE

Very well placed to compete well within the FFP rules

Harvey's & Piglets ......

Thank you DK, TB and for your sterling work PB & MP and, of course, OG and the team

Good post.

You see, there are two very different sides to these stories. You (and I) think that your buying a ST despite knowing you'll only make 12 games, is a show of ongoing loyalty to the club. To others (lucky enough to live a stone's throw from the Amex and have flexible work / life arrangements), you're a terrible, terrible fan for DARING to miss a proportion of the games.

I am also in your camp, had to miss more games this season due to work commitments and the time it takes to travel to the Amex (evening mainly) but i have renewed because i feel i see enough games and club loyalty (more like thanks Tony for the stadium you God ) is a big reason to do it.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment of your post Tim ( except the Harvey's dishwater part ), I'll never cast aside talk of the gory days and nor shall I ever forget it.

That's what makes what we have just that much sweeter at times.

I agree with this post but I would like see I local company supplying the hospitality services like Hardings who are big fans of the club. I believe as a local community club we should employee local businesses if the price is right.

Can't afford one this coming season. I'll go to about one a month if finances allow.

Does anyone know yet how many STHs (inc 1901) we are on target for?

Is it 20,000+ +1901...?

c.23,500 again? I feel like most of the demand is relatively set now and the positive run of the past few weeks (results, Ulloa's goals, Ince's form, TK's magnificence, signing Lingard, etc) will have been the last bit of convincing for most waverers.

So the fashionable ones bigging up not renewing aren't that many.

Just renewed mine. Spent the entire morning logged on to the website, which continually said it was queuing.

Thought I'd ring up the ticket line on the off chance. Got through & booked in under a couple of minutes.

Just out of interest Edna, you don't seem the sort to cancel their ST. Why not enroll in the DD scheme and avoid the hassle of renewing?

Most DD users have renewed, there will be some more buying ST's and then the yearly payers will renew this week. I'd expect pretty much the same as this year for ST's.
What does annoy me is the Attendance announcement. I mean ok, if you're gonna just announce tickets sold then ok, do that. Just don't call it the effing 'Attendance' because clearly it's not the attendance!!! Or the crowd!!! So stop announcing it as so.

To be honest, I'm not bothered either way about the gate announcement. Just out if interest, do any other clubs announce their gates over the PA like we do? I have been to a fair few grounds over the years but can't think of many at the moment.
