And that's only Brighton. Southampton sported:

You also had players like:
Jordan Rhodes (Hudds)
Craig Mackail-Smith (P'borough)
George Boyd (P'borough)

Are you saying you'd rather take a gamble on some La Liga talent than pick up a couple of League One gems, players who are on their way up?

I like the way you formulate your argument Biscuit, but I'm persuaded by the La Liga argument too, which can be encapsulated by the fact that La Liga is the best league in the world, and that their youth development policy -- probably alongside Germany and maybe Holland, at present -- is the best in the world. Before people jump in with the examples of Brazil and Argentina, I'm not convinced that's entirely due to a policy, and more to do with how kids play football in an unofficial manner.

One Bournmouth poster said it would be a 'Sideways move'. Is he being serious? I mean, Bournemouth will probably survive this season but will be relegated next season.

That's what one Swindon supporter said when Greer came to us. Greer has never looked back. Probably the best move he has made all career timing wise.

The person on the Bournemouth forum who said that we had bid £1.1 million, said that £1.1 million was his release clause. Their fans seemed skeptical as to how the poster knew this, but seeing as The Argus are saying the same with regards to the release clause, may suggest that the other part is true.

Not sure personally if £1.1 million is good business for Grabban. Seems too high in my opinion.

Really. Hasn't he got 10 this season? Seems about right to me, also based on his performance against us at the Amex.

Are we still going to go down that route whereas a player has a good game against us and we end up buying him.

Just had a look, for some reason I thought I read he was 28. I was basing it on the fact that he was 28 and has only really played lower league before. Obviously, I take that back.

But would still much rather the £1m be spent on Joe Mason if it was one or the other.

And Mason is 3 years younger and scored the same amount of goals last season. I'd offer Cardiff £1.1m than this fella.

We need both though, IMO. Getting Lewis for 1.1M is fantastic. An upgrade on Barnes too (more prolific) whilst having equal, if not more, potential.

Not good. I would on the other hand, sell Bridcutt for £3.5m, bring in these two plus Conway, and then sign a midfielder.
