Get a Nespresso machine. Great coffee. Ristoretto is my favourite Expresso and there are many good longer (latte/capu) varieties. Most for about 30p a cup.

TTF

I got one of these and really pleased with the convenience and no mess.

I am considering purchasing a coffee machine of some description.

I am quite taken by the apparent convenience and flexibility of the ESE pods with something like the Dualit Espressivo.

Any recommendations?

My De Longhi uses ese pods or ground coffee, I buy from nextdaycoffee, the coffee I make from the machine is as good as costa but a lot cheaper.

http://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/coffee/coffee-pods/44mm-ese-pods £10 for 50 pods...

Shop around I bought in John Lewis for £69.99

This looks very similar to my original choice... thanks for the pods link - it looks like there is a pretty good range available in ESE form.

Get yourself one of these, they are fantastic, I use mine nearly everyday and is very hassle free, easy to clean and pretty much maintenance free.

Bought one of these for the wife a year and a half ago and she loves it. Very low maintenance and produces lovely coffee. 1Kg of coffee beans costs anywhere from £12 upwards depending on quality (£20-25 for some very nice stuff) and lasts a few weeks at 3-4 cups a day.

I've got a De Longhi that does ESE pods or loose coffee. Not too much messing about and turns out a lovely cup. I've never descaled in in the two years I've had it, didn't know you were supposed to.

Which model do you have?
