Why would you drop him one goal in three games

Because although he may have been good for a couple of games PIG has been consistently good for 2 seasons - no contest!

And besides, Brez looked decidedly nervy a couple of times in the 2nd half and we all just know he will have a howler sometime soon - why on earth would we wait for that to happen

People should stop smoking the funny stuff on here. Next you'll be calling for Brez to play for his national side. I need a gallon of beer or whatever your on. Be back next year.

One of the most important positions on the pitch, not one to experiment with, you play your best option.

PIG is worth at least 5-8 points a season over Brez, easily.

I prefer Brez as back up to Casper, but PIG has to be first choice.

Amazed at anyone who says TK shouldn't get straight back into the team.

Imagine the playoff final tomorrow - Who starts?

Kuszczak got injured and just has to wait a bit to be restored to the side....

I can't see Oscar going all "No, it's not about the players on the pitch! It's about me!" either.
Or at least I hope so. We just saw that movie. And sequels suck.
That destroys managers -- and teams.

Looked a bit dodgy at times today, completely missing a cross or two and distribution is poor, takes way too long

Personally, I think distribution is one area of his game that is consistently better than Kuszczak's.

I see the resident NSC retards are out in force tonight.....

Brez hasnt been too bad in the last 3 games, but ultimately he is a back-up. Kooshack to return to the goal providing he is fit.

Kooshack also wont leave just because he hasnt started 3 games - 2 of which he was injured !!

I'm a believer that whenever your best goalkeeper is fit and available, he should be in the team, regardless of clean sheets his deputy kept in his absence. Brezovan has done well when given the opportunity, but ultimately he was just doing his job. Kuszczak is the clear number 1 for a reason and surely he gets restored to the team in the next couple of matches.

Absolutely without a doubt.

As nice a guy as Big Pete may be, Kuszczak is ten times the goalkeeper Pete is and has to start every time he if fit.

Tomas has earnt his right to be in goal. Big Pete has played three games, and not really been tested, and looks like an accident waiting to happen.

The PIG has been superb all season, whilst Pete has played twice whilst Tom was injured, and not really stood out (no fault of his own, had nothing to do) so the PIG has to come back in.

If I was Kuszazk and didn't start the next game, I would strongly consider my position. Playing number two at Man Utd is one thing, playing second fiddle to Big Pete is entirely another.

Keep him in. Then, after his first clanger or hesitant performance, restore Tomasz.

Thats the problem isn't it...one mistake and he's out? Not sure that will do his confidence any good...should Adam make a mistake that lets a striker in on goal and automatically be dropped if Greer is fit....its a tricky one for me

I agree...toms had a game on the bench to make him aware he's not indispensable....now shove him back in the team as he's number one goalie and PB can now be number 2 with confidence intact

Although he has done well, you can't help wondering if and when he's going to drop a clanger. Hopefully he won't but Kuz is a much better all-round keeper, and we should always play our strongest team. So sorry, Sexy Pete - with your love of arty stuff and indie music - it's back to the bench for you.

I thought Poyet handled the situation perfectly when Greer was out due to suspension and Elphick came in and did a good job with El-Abd a few years ago. Poyet didn't immediately restore his captain once he was available, but waited. There wasn't any doubt that Greer would be restored, however.

If Garcia used a similar method, it means that second string players such as Brezovan know their manager will reward good performances by them, and that's very good motivation when they have to be patient all those long months when out of the side. At the same time, Kuszczak gets back so all's well that ends well.

Besides, if it's true that goalkeeper's are a breed apart, I doubt Kuszczak would begrudge Brezovan getting some game time. Much more likely that he would respect the job Brezovan's done at short notice after the Pole's pre-match warm-up injury.

Oh i agree....which is why i wouldn't wait for him to make a 'clanger'.

Obviously he should stay in first spot.
