The biggest shame is the complate lack of any perspective in the role of FW De Klerk, who released Mandela and held the referendum that set the whole rainbow nation enterprise in train.

He shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Mandela as I recall................it was not a one man show.

always thought Shameron was a knob

If the prime minister of Denmark asked him to be in a photo with her, do you think he should have said piss off?

Am I the only one that thinks this whole 'selfie' thing is a complete over-reaction? It wasn't a funeral it was a memorial of his life and plenty of photos were taken of members of the crowd dancing and partying to remember him in a happy way, everyone was smiling and remembering him in the right way, the happy way. Such a storm in a teacup.

Exactly. Some people are so selfie-righteous.

The fake sign language bloke was just class. Apparently he was signing "prawn" and "wheelchair". You couldn't make it up. I'll bet Mandela is pissing himself up on his cloud.

Deaf people all over the world must have thought Obama had gone mental.

:lolol: Very funny but a farce that this happened during such a major global event.

The photographer adds some context here to the 'selfie' story. Makes for quite an interesting read - just a shame it probably won't have the same reach as the original angle that was portrayed.
