I wonder if you might have used that little quip if a black man had experienced as suggested ??

I don't think anyone in the UK black or white needs to worry about getting stabbed for jumping a bus queue. That's just being paranoid.

ironic considering Britains most infamous racially motivated crime was a stabbing at a bus stop.

Yeah, and it was infamous not common.

so you would tell Doreen Lawrence that no one needs worry about being stabbed. or the Mizens, or the Knoxes, or the Kinsellas that no one needs to worry about these things and its just paranoia. drop them an email mate seeing as you are so sure.

Why do i need to email Doreen Lawrence telling her to not worry about getting stabbed!? Surely she'll only see that as a threat?
Anyways, the more you talk about the chances of getting stabbed because of a racially motivated attack, the more you create the problem of racism.
A lot of people get stabbed for other reasons than racism, the majority of stabbings in-fact are not racially motivated.
The racist card keeps the divide going. It gives the far right something to pretend is going on.

i will bear all that in mind next time someone is threatening to stab me and racially abusing me as they think i have pushed in a bus queue.

Where are you living right now, the Gaza strip?

The video on the link by the OP is now a still so I haven't seen the whole incident but surely there are several points to be gleaned. Firstly unless they were yelling abuse at the girl because of her skin colour then it cannot be prosecuted as a race hate crime. That's not to say there wasn't a degree of subliminal racism at play. There might have been. But if there had been a black girl sat in the same seat in the same dress no one can know for sure whether they would have attacked or not. It simply makes more sense to treat it as a straight forward attack in order to secure a conviction.

The letter of the law does not - anywhere - say that race crimes can only be white on black. They can be- both legally and morally - black on white, white on Eastern European, Asain on Black etc etc etc. If the police are not treating them as such then they are not doing their job but they simply have to have enough evidence to do so.

As for getting stabbed in a bus queue it completely matters where you live and what time of day it is. I wouldn't be at all worried in daylight in the centre of Hove but I would at say 10pm in Whitehawk. That's not to say it would happen. Merely that it would be sensible to be more vigilant in the second scenario.

It's the young, urban hoodie we're wary of rightly or wrongly and I'm equally cautious of the white ones as the black or asian ones. There are just more people of different ethnicities in London estates compared to Brighton. If you are more scared of young black people than young white people from the same area then you are, on a sub conscious level, racist and also a bit stupid. But to pretend that black on white violence doesn't exist or isn't racially motivated is equally as bigoted and stupid.

Far to much speculation on here.

If you watch the clip you will notice there is a person sat on the back seat to the right who appears to be an independent witness. Assuming this person is neither blind nor deaf they would have a full eye-witness account of what was said and done. I'd quite like to see their statement before passing any judgement.

How many people do you know who've been stabbed in Brighton? (that includes Whitehawk)

So what if it was a Racist attack or a sexist attack? Any sort of attack is bad isn't it?
These attackers for all you know may of taken the same sort of beating from their parents and so on. Maybe we need to look more into the core of the problem rather than the prejudice behind the attack.

More apologist bulldoodoo

Have you ever thought the racism towards whites could be a backlash from all the racism black people have received over the years? Maybe racism wouldn't have started if the white people had treated the blacks as equals when we first came into contact?

Maybe it is, maybe it is not. But if I had a problem with black people I would not go to Jamaica and let it be known

But yet you'll go on holiday to Spain wearing England shirts, drinking endless amounts of booze, pissing and puking all over the pavements, chanting Patriotic football songs with fellow brits, eating loads of english breakfasts and disrespecting the locals and their culture.
Take the colour of your skin out of the equation, we are not ones to complain about foreign people in our country. We are the foreign nuisance.

I do not own an England shirt and I drink extremely rarely. The last time was last christmas and that was only a couple. I do not go on holiday to sing football songs either. Also I do not go anywhere to insult anybody. You really need to come out of your house more. You make up lies and falsehoods to try and put an argument across but you fail spectacularly, move along please

Agreed, If we behave the way we do abroad, What gives us the right to complain about the way foreign people behave in our country? We are no example.
Foreign people in our country should be able to eat what they want, dress how they want and even behave in a way that may be alien to the locals simply because we do when we're abroad!

We can't have one rule for one but not the other, otherwise that would be racist!

I don't go out? You're the Palace fan who spends his life on a brighton fans forum!? What sort of sad existence is that?
If I ever felt the need to start using a palace forum, I'd go out for a walk.

PS Being afraid of queuing for a bus incase you get stabbed because of your skin colour is extremely paranoid. Hope you get help x
