But is it? Surely has hasn't regenerated yet (therefore none of the Doctor's know who he would be or what he would look like). The only way it could work is if, when they mentioned the '13th', that they counted Hurt/The War Doctor (whatever you want to call him) as an actual Doctor, which going by the story he wouldn't consider himself to be as he would have forgotten about the events.

My head hurts. It doesn't really matter, i'm back in love with the series.

Anniversary special and the Five-ish Doctors were both great. And the Christmas special looks fab and is just around the corner. Overall the anniversary has served us well with An adventure in space and time being the highlight for me.

Thought the episode was brilliant - really looking forward to Christmas one. And good to see RSC stalwarts Ken Bones, Jonjo O'Neill and Peter De Jersey in minor roles, that shows the appeal of Dr Who

Got back from watching Rent at the Brighton centre a little bit ago and have now watched it and loved it. Will watch again tomorrow and will also catch the after party and fiveish doctors.

Saw it in 3D at Cineworld and it was well worth the money. Also had a cinema bonus feature featuring Strax as well as the Doctor's.

It's been a remarkable celebration. The new direction finding Gallifrey is wonderful.

Finally 10 saying his last words I don't want to go were wonderful to.

I thought it was a little mixed on first viewing (in 3d), but having watched it again there are loads of little nods to the past that make it genius

Absolutely fantastic program, loved all the little nods to the past especially the bit with the policeman and Coal Hill School at the beginning. So does this now mean John Hurt is an official Doctor or does he not count?

If this sort of thing comes anywhere near true then we have got the wrong Doctor. The role currently thrives on actors bringing a new spin to the character and maybe Capaldi's previous will have a negative impact. We will have to wait and see.
