Hold on a minute. Charisma is not relevant. If you can find where I've said anything different 'good luck'. We knew that Gus was a 'media-darling', he lost me by slating the club post Palace. Oscar will only answer what he is asked and not elaborate, there is no problem with that.

In terms of the team, if it's not broke don't fix it. There are plenty of times managers have come in and improved already reasonable teams, which is where we were. It is very poor at the moment, but like you I believe it will get better.

I wasn't aiming that at you in particular. Just making the point that some people seem to be claiming that we aren't winning because Oscar doesn't wave his arms about and shout. It's 2013, it's not the 70's anymore. And they weren't saying this when we won a few games earlier in the season, it was all "Oscar is so much cooler and calmer than Poyet, isn't it great". Nobody, except the players and management, knows what he is like in the dressing room and on the training pitch, and how this effects the players. The man used to play for Barcelona, and was a far superior footballer to anyone who's ever worked for the Albion, apart from Vicente. He knows what he is doing, and he needs time. Poyet didn't do it straight away.

Take out 5 of the best players of any team on the planet, and the team wouldn't be able to perform to the same level they could before. The time to judge Oscar is when he has had a fully fit ish squad with only a couple of injuries, for 15-20 games, not when half the first team are crocked in October.

He will come good.

I think that out of all the nonsense you've posted over the last few years, that one sums up your lack of understanding of the game better than any others. "They won't make a difference because they don't score goals."

It's like a child's view of the game.

The defense and midfield are not the issue, the strikers are not good enough to get us promoted with the exception of Ulloa, that much is finally becoming obvious to more and mere of our fans, but hey you keep yer blinkers on if it keeps you happy

So what should we do? We got rid of Gus, like you wanted, and we're much poorer for it. What's your solution now?

Garcia does not have it in him I am afraid. That is not what he is about. Seems a pussy cat.

:moo:

although it grieves me to say it, try Barnes and Lita together up front......and get the ball Lita quicker

It's a shame that he didn't go to that Spanish club when he had the chance, this is not going to work out well for him or us
And we would have got some compo to boot. I think though as Bloom and Barber made the call they will just keep their fingers crossed and hope for the best. I am expecting a Barber e mail next week, 25 ? to say " don't worry everything is in hand "

Great shout.

Hoskins will never play again, CM-S who knows and Ulloa 3 months yet by then we are half way through the season. The pity is pretty much everyone has given up on this season after 14 games and nothing from the club or managment has changed that.

Oscar took the payroll but he seems almost without any fight at all. The guy just seems to think everything is fine. He seems dour, without much of a clue and just a stop gap. Very disappointing.

You had a mare on this thread, didn't you?

Happy to disagree.

But to me we are getting worse not better.

Disagree.

Anyone can pick out selective quotes and if we lost next Saturday the quotes become valid again, we beat a team that has shipped 4 goals in each of their last 2 matches to put things in perspective

Funnily enough, you can do that with statistics too. Doncaster beat Leicester in their last home game.... just to put things into perspective.

The quote I took from you was a crock of shit at the time, is a crock of shit now and will be a crock of shit in future also.
It's consistent, at least.

And again. How many goals have Blackburn shipped lately?

Players are starting to learn how to play it the "Oscar" way , helps too that there is a plan B.

You were there today then?

A lot of long, wasted balls and despite how well he played, Upson continues to ignore Kuszczak. Several times he should have left it, bit gave the ball away instead of trusting TK.

I was the thread starter and I wanted OG to put a rocket up their arses, he obviously took notice of what I put. :D

That is what I thought and my comments did the same so we are in fact responsible for our good form. :ffsparr::wink:
