Well you could answer the questions I asked you instead of hiding away with no proof to back you up,I think I have written far more on this subject and answered more question than you have,I have met every question asked whereas you and SHC have not answered ONE question put to you....still do not know how old you are, your work experience.Where you got those headlines from...

I thought the questions you were asking me above were rhetorical - here goes then

do I face facts that they are here ? You can do what you like. It just speaks volumes that immigration is the first thing you pick on. You then use "scroungers" very soon after. I am merely pointing out that this language is from the pages of the Mail. I don't think anyone is a racist for wanting to talk about immigration. I tend to think that they are xenophobes if it is the first or only thing they talk about.

Proof of hate please re Mail...you're not clutching 'facts' from hearsay again are you? They have always been the last paper to back social reform of any kind. They are anti equality. This goes for homosexuals, women, ethnic minorities. Can you name a time when the Mail has ever called for a progressive social reform? It hasn't happen because it is an elitist paper, written by middle aged, hetrosexual, white, (mainly) men for middle aged, hetrosexual, white, (mainly) men. It's alright for you - you are I presume a white, hetrosexual, male.

name your paper, has it a political bias? I will make it quite clear that I don't have a paper. I have already acknowledged that the Guardian is biased but for me has a far better record of top quality investigative journalism (see post 89.) For the record my two most read publications are The Independent (or the I) & Private Eye. I'm happy with any of the qualities though including the Torygraph & The Times.

I answered exactly what you asked. Why I don't like the mail. You didn't accept it. I can't do much more than that. If you're going to reject every answer you're given then I shan't waste my time.

Edit: I believe the headlines come from an article about a public campaign to get some of the Mails contributers sacked on a BBC website.

Let's just assume my only argument was that any paper that would give column inches to Richard Littlejohn is not something I would read. I have cited Richard Littlejohns exact words and extracts from his articles. I find him to be lazy, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, bigoted, and un-intelligent and I pretty much think Mail readers are the same. I think the fact he writes for the paper is enough to illustrate the paper and it's readership are rather unpleasant, hateful and above all ill informed people.

Any way, I can't believe I'm wasting my time having a serious discussion about The Mail. It's a comic read by morons. End of.

That's all you need to know really.

And if you want proof of hate in the Mail read the article highlighted in this thread. It oozes with disdain for a dead entertainer less than 24 hours after the report of his death. Bad taste.

Similarly the Jan Moir column in the aftermath of Stephen Gately's death was disgusting.

Littlejohn's transphobia that led to Lucy Meadows committing suicide.

Have a look on the websites "sidebar of shame." They'll be really unnessary stories castigating female celebrities for being a stone overweight.

I think it's rather sweet that SGOTW tries to discredit an entirely valid argument because of a bit of effing and jeffing and at the same time endorses a newspaper that advocated neutering Goths and believes that strangulation to death is an occupational hazard for prostitutes and means nothing in the big scheme of things and that transsexuals should disappear.

"I've got nothing against Transexuals as long as they don't go round shouting about it."

But you have'nt answered every question have you, age, work experience, paper of your choice,do you support the vote rigging, the Leaverage squad..you only answer what suits you..in spouting your generalisation of Mail readers, you insult one and three quarter million people...of which you know nothing about, but because...(according to you) they read the Mail they're morons, is there no end to your left wing hate.
Your Edit says it all...I BELIEVE the headline come from an article (Printed where?) about a public campaign to get some of the Mails contributers sacked on a BBC website......not facts and certainly not posted as Mail headlines as you first stated.

Headline of some of the great scoops.....Russian teenager sells her virginity in online auction for £17,000

Rita Ora and her crazy hair week...Rita Ora songstress has changed her hairdo more times this week than we have changed our grubby socks.

Biggest shock yet ? Lady Gaga arrives in New York looking like a normal person.

All the same stuff is on the the far right (no pun intended) of the DM site. At least the Sun & the Mirror have the decency to have a red top.

A fine example of more terrible journalism, it would appear that the gutter press stretch across both sides of politics. I do admire your determination to make this a right v left issues though.

I think the problem with The Mail isn't that it's full of celebrity trash - lots of papers are - but it's seen as pushing a particular brand of spiteful, reactionary conservatism, appealing to smug small-time suburbanites. The kind of people who have risen a couple of rungs up the ladder, by their own efforts, and who are afraid of falling off. (The kind of people that wealthy metropolitan sophisticates despise).

Your post did make me laugh about the news in The Mirror as yesterdays Mail had...

Beauty queen aged 11 months.
Did wild boar swim channel?
Hitler fanatic kicked out of Asda.
Kitten that dialled 999.
And
Spider killed my rabbit.

OK,THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS THEN..............................................................................................................................Last week, Deans resigned from his role at Grangemouth-owner Ineos, which threatened to close the factory during Unite's fight against attempts to cut pay and conditions for workers. Speaking in the House of Commons, David Cameron accused Deans of being a "rogue trade unionist at Grangemouth who nearly brought the Scottish petrochemical industry to its knees". Unite reacted furiously to the "smear" and said Deans stepped down after feeling the company had begun to treat him as the "enemy within".

The union's operations at Grangemouth were back in the headlines just days later after the Daily Mail reported Ineos directors were "intimidated" during campaigns outside their houses
