Well the cheats have a chance now. Owen is so lightweight...

Exactly. Arteta followed the direction of the ball, Chamakh ran across Arteta, no where near where the ball was going.

I'll watch it again, but rightly or wrongly it happens all the time when a striker runs across the defender.

If that was Brighton you would be saying it was a foul

The way I saw it, Arteta got his arm across in front of Chamakh, who then leaned into and tried to push arteta away before their legs got tangled.

I am regular sat in my seat shaking my head at the bias brighton fans show, knowing that our player went down easy and the anger at the ref is ill founded. I can honestly say I wouldn't have claimed that if it was us.

Ok let me re phrase.

A lot of Brighton fans, wasn't aiming so much at you. My apologies

That doesn't mean they'd be right. I can only speak for myself, but my opinion that it isn't a foul is because I don't think it was a foul, not because it's not brighton.

True.

If it was us playing, I'd say it was a clear red. But that's not really relevant. But I don't think it was a terrible decision, I'm just not convinced by it, that's all.

Pretty good game to watch.
To be fair, Palace did give Arsenal a good game. Great end to end football.

Very harsh red for Arsenal, two players tangled, yellow at most.
Definite penalty for Arsenal and the Ref had a howler soon after the red as Palace should have been given a penalty after a god-awful challenge.

Liked the BT commentary too. A refreshing change from SS1.

Unlucky today Palace, see you next season.
