It's pretty obvious you can't invite someone who is 6ft under to a dinner party. It's just totally impractical. Come on, use some common sense.

Quite. I always prefer my dinner guests to be alive.

I cook plenty, do almost all the cooking between me and the missus.

My signature dish is a ballotine of chicken, stuffed with pork, parsley and thyme. Red wind jus (pwopa wanky) and pomme purée (mash). French food is delightful.

I'd cook it for no celebrity though.

Any Gordon Ramsey's out there ? What is your signature dish and what would you cook for a dinner at yours for your favorite celebrity or famous person you would most like to meet ?

Person and meal.

I would cook Stephen Spielberg a pasta bake with sweetcorn, tuna and cheese sauce.

Keeping it real.

What a shame Stephen doesn't eat seafood or dairy.

ok ok my turn ...

ahem ...

Starter of stuffed portobello mushroom filled with ricotta cheese, and baked in the oven. Followed by a main course of lamb shank, with oregano gravy, mashed potato and baby cabbage. Desert would be a chocolate pot. I think a nice fruity Italian red such as barolo would drink well with the meal.

Oh and dinner guest? ... Sharon Duce.

He does now.

Even ignoring the fact that he wouldn't eat the ingredients you have so thoughtfully used, I'm somewhat surprised that you would go to as little effort as a pasta bake for your HERO. I used to make those as a student. It's one up from a pot noodle which is itself one up from a cup a soup.

I would make a Beef and Tomato Pot Noodle with a splash of Soy and Chilli Sauce for Lokki7 - Because HE is my hero

Do you also prefer your dinner guests to actually want to eat the food you serve them?

I'd have thought you'd have known all this, what with you having started an ambitious Spielberg project way back last year. Or are you not close to finishing that yet?

I've got this wicked scallops, chilli, garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley and spaghetti dish I like. As for a dinner guest I think I'd invite Michael Eavis.
