Thanks for that but why is there such attention about a law being passed. Sorry if I sound dumb but why does there need to be a law if what you say happens.

If this baby is a girl and the next baby was a boy, under the old system the boy would become king. The law that is being passed means that the first born becomes the next monarch regardless of being a boy or a girl.
