"strange" because he played one game under a manager who had no interest in him?

Don't think OG had anything to do with Shorey's trial so presumably when he took control he was duty bound to play him, even if he had no real interest in signing him. Although signing players isn't supposed to be his job.

Oh it's all so confusing

Phew, i'm relieved Shorey has not signed, he could not get into the Reading team last season, he is slow now and makes bad decisions, i think someone else will be signed/loaned now.

The fact that Reading didn't want him and signed Bridge would be a bit gutting too if he signed for us. Just brought back to me how much I'll miss WB marauding down OUR wing next season

He played 17 times for Reading last season, in the PREMIER LEAGUE.

He's not a spectacular type of player, but he'd have done a very good job. Will be pleasantly surprised if we are able to sign somebody better.

Wasn't he regularly featuring in Martin O'Neil's (almost) Europe conquering Villa squad not some 5 seasons ago? If he ends up at Millwall then that's a quite spectacular fall from grace.

Probably strange in the fact that Burke got him in on trial and our new head coach didn't like what he saw! Which probably isn't the normal way of going about things for English clubs.

FIVE years ago. That villa side didnt even play in champions league.

Vicente was winning copa del rey with Valencia five years ago.

Disappointed with this. Hopefully it's because we have someone better lined up.
Same feelings with Spanish Dave too.

Reading knew they were playing in the Championship and still opted not to offer him a contract. That worried me. Anyway, just because someone's played in the Prem is doesn't make them special, i.e. most of the Wolves team 2011/12 -2012/13.

He has always looked good against us in the past. Getting a bit old now? Spain might be too hot for him?
