I've heard it all now.......

The thing with ratio's is that if you have 28 - 30k at home, inevitably the amount of tickets even received away is only 2k, of course the, ratio will look unbalanced.

:ffsparr:

My point entirely. Its very rare for you to sell 2k away seats. Where are those 28k super fans then?

I didn't mention attendances - but now you've got me going. As we have the biggest/best home support outside the premiership our PERCENTAGE RATIO to our away fans would always be low - we'd have to be taking about double yours to have the same ratio. Give me plastic fans as opposed to no fans all day long.

However, the forthcoming season will be a test of attendances. Imagine if poor little Brighton average higher home attendances than the mighty Palace , who will be playing in a higher league. Now that would be embarrassing for you.

Spot on. As zaha banged in his second at the amex, as I celebrated winning promotion at wembley, as I watch us play in the biggest league in the world, as I watch us at the Emirates and old trafford all I have been and will be thinking of is how high your home attendance s have been the past 2 seasons.

Look at the away stats, I think you'll find we were in the top 8, certainly above you I believe......

Of course doesn't help when some of our more local teams restrict tickets. ???

You've mentioned the glory teams, so will Palace fill out Stoke or Hull, or will normal service be resumed?

You need help fella

Poor old Major is beyond help.
He can often be seen rocking backwards and forwards in his North Stand padded seat, laughing manically at the attendance page in the match day programme.
Poor old sod.

Still here, I thought you and a couple of the other retards would only come back when you had found the proof to claims that we have been scum and not paid our debts, like yourselves. Which as you claimed, Archer did.

Retards ?
Lovely turn of phrase.
No I cannot post a link to the proof that you desperately need, but I'm sure you can find out if you wanted.
The truth is out there

Why should I even try looking, because you old son are the one making the false claims and I am sure if it could be found one you would have surely posted the proof.
And what is fact is your club stole around £50mill in two admins in just over a decade. Shameful.

You should have a lie down, all this hatred is doing you no good.
Regarding false claims, I remember reading about this very subject on here, and some Brighton fans confirmed Archer did a deal with the local businesses.
And no, I'm not going to search for it.

Thank you for posting this but as already stated the one to look at is the average which we are one place below you (I think I looked at something just before April - apologies Murry).

% of home attendance is fairly pointless, as we are comfortably the best supported home team, so its always going to be inflated.....

OK then read this,http://www.clubsincrisis.com/brighton/brighton_crisis_history.html

Sale of the Goldstone Ground

In July 1995 the local Argus newspaper revealed that Archer, Stanley and Bellotti had done a deal to sell the Goldstone Ground, yet had no acceptable plans to relocate the club to a new stadium. From 1996, it was announced, Albion would play home games at Fratton Park, Portsmouth.

The Goldstone was always a ramshackle ground, and by now it was only a shadow of its former self. But for the club to sell its home with no viable alternative was unforgivable. The Board said it was necessary to clear the debts, but why was there no dialogue with supporters about a restructuring of the club? Why was there no discussion with Brighton and Hove councils?

That action, together with subsequent revelations regarding changes to the club’s constitution and doubts over the timing of debt repayments, convinced fans that they had been betrayed by owners with ulterior motives, and one of the most bitter “wars” in the history of football broke out. The directors dug in and made a hopeless bid for a new stadium and commercial development at Toad’s Hole on the South Downs to the north of Hove

The away attendance averages do vary season by season and we have maintained these sort of figures for the last 7 or 8 season in a row. I think this is the first season for a while where Palace have had a higher average away attendance than ours.

So why don't more of the 25k home crowd travel?

If you're so tied up with stats how about working out away fans per mile traveled. You're 50 miles closer to most of them than we are. :)
