The clique.

There, I've said it.

How can I be in your clique, mon vieux, having posted nothing between 2003 and a week ago? Its a miracle. Sufficient to resuscitate anyone's ticker.

Mind you I did spend 5 hours in a pub in Victoria with 'Bozza' 12 years ago. It was . . . emotional.

What I'd like to know is how come Dick Knight's Mum is still alive? She must be gone 90.

I had that Hart's Shirt in the back of my taxi the other decade.

As for Jim In The West, well . . . what a giveaway.

And I see that MOH is now supping Sussex Ale with Uncle Sam . . .

Apologies to anyone I've missed

:)

KLS is one of the greats. He was in the clique when it really was a clique. The fact that the rest of NSC stays well away from Hawaii says more about us than him.

As for 5 hours in a pub with the man ... I do recall a pre-match bevvy with him, before a game at Withdean. The shock of the English weather resulted in a severe bout of pneumonia which sent him scuttling back to the Pacific sunshine to spend the rest of his days in a hammock.

Strangely enough most of the people that I've met in person on here I met when I was at the CRICKET! (As opposed to the football).

I miss cricket.

That's a bit unfair. I'll have you know I post regularly, averaging approx. 15 posts a year although 2007-09 dipped to 7 or 8 -- due to the mai tai rehab, I'll have you know.

The clique was brilliant, MoH, Hart's Shirt, Barnet, Simster, Lush et al. Not forgetting Cannarian (RIP) and HWT in previous incarnation and many more but I must not reveal identities because The Clique is a bit like the Illuminati, we operate discreetly, in the shadows.

I had that Bry Nylon in the back of my rickshaw on Maui once, now that was a long way to come for a mai tai.

BTW, likin' the 'andle, HWT.

Ah yes, the pneumonia...happy days. The Welly sesh with you, M'Lord, and Lady B, were one of the highlights of my globetrotting career.

I've known the Large One and Del Strangefish for longer than I've posted here.

I've met a few others since posting on here, some through the Large One, some after exchanging PMs and some accidentally.

The most recent person I met was Bensgrandad in a bar in Limassol yesterday evening...
