On an aside, poyet is currently suspended, pending investigation to possible breech of contract for unknown reasons. Say stoke ring and ask permisson to speak to him. From a legal perspective can we say yes okay and give permisson or are our hands tied and we say no he is not avaikable due to above reason. Really not sure on this one, dealt with lots of suspensions at work but not with this situation

Anybody else heard the rumour going around that the Poyet situation has been resolved and he left by mutual consent Friday, announcement to follow early part of this week. I'm not saying its true but heard it from another Albion fan. Just wondered if anyone else heard this?? Lets hope it's true and then we can move on

Hadn't heard that, but when he goes you can Guarantee it will be mutual consent with confidentiality clauses, so no-one will ever know

What?

No player will enter negotiations with us when we have no manager or coaches! If resolved this coming week then will all okay but can see this dragging on and us having a far weaker team than the one we ended this season with.

Gus usually goes to Uruguay at this time of the year to visit his family, so wouldn't have been available to talk to agents. We do have someone at the club who negotiates contracts in the form of David Burke.

Gus to Maccabi Tel Aviv with Oscar Garcia Junyent coming the other direction would be ideal

Our situation is no different to that if we had just lost the P/O final. If we can get ourselves sorted within the next 10 days then we won't have a problem. Who cares about Poyet... He clearly doesn't care about us.

Stoke don't want him. They've got doubts over his credential to manage at the highest level. It was in the papers yesterday. The suspension will make him damaged goods in this country.

Yep. When some kind of fudge is eventually thrashed out between the parties, Gus will almost certainly have a 'keep your gob shut' clause written into any kind of payoff.

In London village.
Maccabi run from Hapoel.

That is all.

Compo or no compo, hurry up and take him - I'll pay for his flight if it gets it done any quicker!

Would that be covered under any kind of international contract law though? Excuse my ignorance, but I haven't a clue on these things. Sure, if he gets another job in this country we could hold him to such a clause, but if Gus went to Tel Aviv he could surely spout off to an Israeli newspaper if he were so minded and there would be nothing Barber or Bloom could do about it, except perhaps sue him in the New York or London courts or whatever people do. Could one of NSC's legal types help me out here?

Really hope Gus goes to Maccabi TelAviv. I'll be able to watch them for Agamemnon or too when I am in Israel each year!

Agammemnon? The king of the mycenaens, who challenged Achilles at troy and returned home after taking troy to be Murdererd by clymenestra His wife who was miffed when he sacrificed his daughter to the gods so the Greeks would have favourable winds to take them to Troy what is now modern turkey?

Pre season training is not this week or next so no worries at the moment, provided it is sorted during June, as I am sure it will be. The big question is who will work with Barber.

Why's that a big problem. I'm not aware that Barber is a difficult man to get along with. Poyet on the other hand is a very difficult man to get along with.

So they get in the managerial genius of Mark Hughes instead?
