Seriously how would we all feel about Harry Redknapp as manager?

Why on earth we would want that saggy-faced, responsibility-dodging, excuse merchant here is utterly beyond me. I'd hate it if he came here.

I would wait by the Amex or training ground for him to arrive. As he approaches the traditional Sky Sports interviewer near the entrance, I would deploy a spike strip across the road, stopping 'Arry's car and robbing him of the opportunity to be interviewed while leaning out of the open window. Unable to complete his traditional role he would implode, freeing us of the problem of being managed into the ground by 'Arry.

Newbury, Berkshire.
Distraught. Crap manager that has led every club he has been at (bar Spurs) into financial ruin, and a media circus ten-times worse than the one surrounding Pooyet (intentional) would ensure. Avoid at all costs.

This, this, this and (just in case I haven't yet made myself clear on this point) this.

But if you believe the hype, then he's a ' top, top, player, really fantastic, can't fault him' ( which I interpret as ' his agent promised me if got him into the England set up he'd bung me a few ' ).

If Redknapp can't understand his own finances, how the hell can he work with our limited budget, he'd blow the whole £ 10 M on a new Paulo Futre.

" It is worth noting that although Redknapp’s time in charge of Portsmouth ended in a deficit of some £40 million, the club has since gone on to sell many of the players he signed while he was there, giving the club a staggering £103,940,000 million in sales in just three years. A massive profit of around £30 million for the struggling club. " Yeah and look where that got them. Even that quote can't get the f****** maths right. It's either £ 103,940,000 or £ 103.9 million. Typical of the shoddy hype that surrounds Mr. Redknapps reputation. Tony Bloom would be better advised to cave in to every financial request that Gus makes than employ Redknapp as that would be the cheaper option.

I don't think it's a realistic appointment worth consideration.

Exactly what rumours has there been apart from Redknapp saying he wants our if he can't sign new players (shock horror).

I wouldn't mind him TBH, imagine Harry hanging out his car door next to the Amex on transfer deadline day 'ohh yeah triffic player'. It might be the first time we'd have a congregation of people outside when the sky cameras are on.

Limited manager and one trick pony. Only buys players that don't need coaching and has a poor record of bringing young players through
You're in the wrong thread. There are other threads to discuss Poyet & co

I'd be well happy with him coming to the Albion. Less than 2 years ago he was everyones choice to be the next England manager !

Or alternatively he was the choice of his mates in the press.

I would be fuming, can't stand the bloke. Loves to spend money (not a wheelerdealer ohh no) and not get much in return. QPR were worse (which is saying something) after he went there and spent a fair few quid.
