Has Kaz given Gus a selection headache?

I would start Kaz at Selhurst, smaller and bobbly pitch so I think it suits him better than Buckley. He is also much better defensively.

I dont think Gus will start with Buckley and Orlandi I think it could be Orlandi and Crofts at Smelhurt.

He started them both a lot recently. Orlandi on the left adds balance to the team. Just look at Blackpool at home (blackpool went and got a good result today so they ain't that bad... We were just very good!)

It's a great problem to have though. Lualua, Buckley and Orlandi are all on top form! And Barnes and Ulloa have both bagged goals recently! Bring them on!! Cannot wait!

That was for a home game not an away one of two legs where the aim is to keep a clean sheet and perhaps nick a goal.

He started them both at Leeds too didn't he? Away game! Buckley scored and orlandi hit a peach of a cross onto ulloa's head. I think if we go too defensive we might not even come away with a draw... Fancy palace to score... But also to concede so we need to take advantage of their shakey defence at the mo...

Personally I'd go with...

Pig
Calde, Greer, Upson, bridge
David, Hammond, bridcutt,
Buckley, Ulloa, Orlandi

Then in the home game who knows... Lets wait and see what the result is from the 1st leg...

That's the team I would go with too for the away game

I think this is nearly what Gus will go for, except Barnes is a dead cert away from home. My guess is he'll start with only one of Buckley, Lua Lua or Orlandi - probably Orlandi - at Selhurst.

I just don't get why Barnes would be put on the wing for this... With 3 games to go potentially and 3 top wingers in form why just why?

We need Barnes and Ulloa to be the strikers in the 3 games remaining. They'll be tired after a long season and with the possibility of extra time I personally think we need to use them as strikers only! I'd obviously stick with the 1 striker and 2 wingers though! So one on the bench for me...

You could be right though, gus will do whatever he wants and who am I to argue... We've finished higher than I thought we would this season... I'm not saying Barnes should never play on the wing (although I do think he's better up top)... But as we have no other proper striker options I'd like to see him used only as a striker till the end of our season.

Barnes does make sense for the away battle - then possibly not needed for the more attacking home side.

How important was that goal against Leicester? Seemed to be a turning point and we went on a great run after that. And he turned the game against Millwall.

Did it all himself as well. We have a lot to thank Kaz for. He has the ability to make an impact on the game which few other players do.

I don't buy the he has improved argument. The reason that he has 'improved' is that he is now on the pitch and not sitting in the stand.

To be fair Kaz has had a lot of off the field issues which probably hasn't helped his quest for selection. Any player like Kaz will blow hot and cold. Even if not he would be in a top 6 Prem side

The most important goal of the season so far. If we go up that goal was a huge turning point.

Now he's learnt to keep the ball low when he shoots/crosses, our No1 dangerman who Palace will fear for sure.
He hasn't suddenly learnt to keep the ball down. He was criticised (on NSC I might add, so bucket of salt) in the Charlton and Leicester games (for poor final ball), then he didn't play against Middlesbrough, Posh or Leeds, and only played for 20 mins against Blackpool (so he's not suddenly started to keep the ball low). He's always been able to score goals like the 2 yesterday and 1 against Leicester.

He's a good player that can add a spark and change things when needed, nothing's changed at all except that he's in good form at the moment (perhaps the court case didn't help his form). As is typical with football fans though, if a player has a couple of poor games they're League 1 level, then when they have a decent couple of games they're brilliant again.

He's been bloody good recently

I think he'd be found out if Palace play through the middle like they can.

I don't have a problem with Hammond per se...I just wouldn't start him against Palace.
