We HAVE to stay up and I don't care it's still August, he needs results or he needs to be shown the door before it's too late. Get McCarthy or Curbishley in, they know the division."

it will also cause a big clear out as a lot of the team won't manage premier league football...be careful what you wish for chaps ,the boys have done well this year.

Sadly not, today's culture. Can't enjoy the times of unbridled joy, always look for a negative even if have to make it up to suit ones argument. But just forget em - what I'd have given for a day like this Saturday when we trudged to gillingham every fortnight for2 years. I knew we'd come back, I genuinely never stopped believing because I knew our history. When we end up in the top flight again it's going to be emotional, Donny.Rovers all over again! And some! Brilliant. So even though Gus has got us to 4th you can't admit you were wrong (to be fair along with so many people in this thread). Presumably you still think you were right and we would have won the league if he left in December.
It is irrelevant when the thread was started. It was a ridiculous over reaction to a defeat against the best team we have played this season. The sad thing is people won't learn and no doubt will be back on here if we don't win the play offs or go up and struggle early on to say sack him.

Inevitable. The reality is if we go up we will do incredibly to finish fourth bottom, but may surprise a few and finish higher.

dont know Im no mystic meg, a lot of manager changes always happen & its my opinion that IF we dont go up he will be in the premier league next season...
Along with Liam Bridcutt....but hopefully be with us.

Which premier League jobs do you think are going to be available for Gus to take?
Chelsea! Why would they choose Mourinho when they could get Gus.
You make a good point. Which club that's doing quite well is going to ditch their manager for someone who hasn't managed in the premier league before.

I think Wet Sham will be available. That one would concern me. As would Newcastle.
He would like to manage Spurs and Chelsea one day, I'm not sure the Arsenal fans would take kindly to Gus joining them. Newcastle have had a poor year, but AP has proved himself with them before, I don't see why they'd want to replace him with Gus. If Moyes leaves, I could see Everton being interested, but that relies on Moyes finding a better job than Everton, and I'm not sure any are available yet.
I'd expect West Ham fans to be interested, but I don't think their owners are at the moment. They want premiership stability while they get the new stadium sorted, I can't see them paying off Sam and paying out Gus's contract here.
It could happen, but I think it's more likely part way through next season, when a premier league club is failing, and they want to turn it around.

In my opinion West Ham will 100% stick with Big Sam. He's done an excellent job there.
Newcastle will stick with Pardew, especially with his 8 year deal and such a good season last year.
Everton is the only one which arguably concerns me.
So that's one job. Not really much to back up any fears that he will "definitely" be gone.
He will leave for a good job and if they want him. He won't leave REGARDLESS.
He's got it bloody good here.
Martinez has TWICE refused to leave Wigan because the job on offer wasn't right for him. It has to work both ways.

You'd think that some of the cataclysmic over reactions on here are purely the creation of keyboard warriors, the worrying thing is that these people actually do exist! Case in point a guy in WSU block C seems to only be heard if we're playing rubbish, he has left loads of games early this season because "it's boring"
