1901 prices will remain the same as they have been for the last two years for the next three apparently. Could there be a scenario, should we go up, that some other season tickets will end up being more expensive than current 1901s??

Interesting point. Of course, that was the calculated gamble when buying a 1901 seat - with a promotion in 5 years, it looked a good deal. But could have gone down last season and then it would have been a shocker!

We'd need to spend at least £10M on new players, it has to come from somewhere.

And what do you think is going to give TB back his money ?

Say every st goes up £100 that'd be about £2.5m. Sure I'm not alone in being close to the maximum I can afford, combine that with the fact that more expensive st means less spent on merchandise, pies etc.

Obviously TB needs repaying but squeezing every last penny from the very people who kept the club alive or "customers" as we are now known will push a fair chunk of the pre Amex faithful away IMO

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you BUT I think the increase will be around £50. That will mean about an extra £6 per match per season ticket holder. Assume it's 22.5k tickets then that's £2.5m extra over the season JUST on season tickets. For anyone to think there won't be a price increase in real terms is naive.

I used 25000 @ £100 each comes to £2.5m so £50 increase would be £1.25m over the season. I think it will be somewhere between our guesses tbh. It just does my nut that with £90m we are going to be asked to come up with even more and in comparison to the tv money its peanuts.

A £100 increase might also mean the club is no longer subsidising ALL the transport costs.

Very unlikely to be more expensive, although the WSL middle prices will be a lot closer to the Gold 1901's after the 5yr period than they were at the start.

Interesting to look at Swansea City season ticket prices for next season:-

http://www.swanseacity.net/documents/st-poster58-456238.pdf

Adult prices range between £429 and £479 if bought before 31 December 2012, £439 - £489 if bought in January 2013, £449 - £499 if bought after February 2013. Pay in four monthly instalments if you want, but at an extra cost of £20, or spread it over 10 months and pay 19.9% APR.

Cheapest deal therefore works out at £22.58 per game. Most expensive (with the four instalments deal) is £27.32 per game. I'm assuming cup games aren't included. All prices are for season ticket renewals.

You could watch the Ospreys play 17 games in the same stadium for just £99 (or £82.50, if you booked your season ticket with a friend). £4.85 per game, for the cheapest deal. The biggest crowd this season to watch the Ospreys at home has been 19,443 (against Llanelli Scarlets).

I do wonder if in the not too distant future we will start to offer similarly structured deals

Am mentally preparing myself for about £100 increase. With less matches to play in the premiership though then surely less for the club to pay on policing etc. With the average annual pay rise announced today at 1% some of us will find any increase difficult.

Because they have the option to increase the prices even further. Prem Season tickets are very high and the demand will be there should some people not renew.

There is a thread about this that was raised a few days ago.

Correct. The Club will sell all of its season tickets, irrespective of how high they are priced. The Premier League is king.

Imho the 1901 seats were under-priced. If we go up and stay up I dread to think what the 1901 prices will be when the current deal expires.
