Anyone who sees me offer 50/1 odds and doesn't think I'm taking the piss needs their head checked out. I mean, seriously?

By the way, do I owe £10 at 20/1 or 50/1? This is all getting rather confusing.

I'm not saying you owe anything, merely re-presenting the posts in question as your own particular version of events was pure fantasy.

You do what you feel is the right thing, it seems rather obvious to me.

I think it's just a straight tenner mate.

In which case my conscience is clear. I stuck a tenner in the last time this topic was brought up, shortly after Dougie left. I'm afraid the other £490 might have to wait though.

In genuine honesty I was completely taking the piss. I had no idea Douglas would be stupid enough to leave, but I wouldn't ever offer such stupid odds on anything to do with football if I was actually interested in gambling. Clearly people take this sort of thing a lot more seriously than I thought, despite the fact that in my "bet" I made no mention whatsoever of any charities. Apologies.

But you said that there wasn't ever any bet, so why would you have paid £10 into REMF if you didn't think there was a bet ? :moo::shit:

Because it's a charity, it was a token gesture, and I was shouting my mouth off saying Dougie was never going to leave, a day or two before he packed his bags. I felt a bit of a ****.

I've no idea whether Seaside paid, but let's be fair, he did actually say he was going to pay £10 to REMF at the time.

Hopefully.

He is a lovely chap. He has never been disrespectful to any fans that haven't insulted him or his players/managers. He simply feels personally responsible for the defense of his club in the media which isn't his job. He's not always completely professional but he's extremely passionate about the club and Palace fans in general greatly appreciate CPFC2010. They saved our club, they're running our club sensibly and with any luck they'll get us promoted. Top blokes all round - but they're rather new to being scrutinized.

It's easily sorted. Glenn-Murray (AKA Seaside) just needs to parade around the clock tower in his Palace top and a pair of peek a boo speedos wearing a sandwich board reading "Freddie Mercury died for your sins" and holding a bucket for donations...a few hours of a Saturday night should raise the required tenner.

If he does this I'll chuck in another tenner.

Well said FFS , I still think going on twatter gives faceless idiots The oppotunitity to abuse players and owners alike . This is not exclusive to palace there's plenty at every club who will dish it out , maybe they will think twice now ( assuming there all palace fans ) I don't think going on there is advisable for a owner though .

Really? In what form?

Tin pot is the only way to describe that complete farce of a club. They really are the complete opposite of Tony Bloom - a man who knows how to run a club with professionalism and dignity and who's family are steeped in Albion history. We are so very lucky.[/QUO

Such a true post

If you see what has been said to him you wouldn't blame him for his actions . If the person is a palace fan I will be shocked and very saddened .

I can't stand Parish but if someone posted something about shagging my daughter on the internet I'd do the same.

A bit like that Balantyne bloke who offered 5 grand or something to anyone who broke the arms of the guy abusing his daughter on twitter.

You should applaud him and the other owners really for reviving the club you love to hate so much. Imagine if we had gone under? Who would you talk about on your forums? Who would you wind yourselves up about? It would be boring for you without us.
