This!!

Surely being a supporter means getting behind your team and anyone who plays in it!

Sorry? Do you think he has supported the Albion by his 2nd straight red after just coming back from doing exactly the same thing? What if he does it again when he comes back in the side, do we still support him then?

With the biggest game of the season almost upon us, this is unforgiveable. Barnes red card was avoidable and shows a very petulant and immature attitude right when we need players to be the exact opposite.

Ashley Barnes should never, ever play for us again

How about read my posts - not just that 1.

NO ONE will defend his actions today and i immediately said that. Its unacceptable, but to say we should sell a young player who does have potential is just pathetic.

He needs to sort it out - big time.

Thank you - a bit common sense. I'm more pissed off with him that he wasted so many chances.

No being a important part of the league winning team, leading scorer last season and scoring important goals this.

I will not judge him until I now what happened (was it a penalty, will we appeal etc) but carry on with the witch hunt

So being sent off twice, one for a hideous challenge, one for sheer petulance, in a couple of months when we are missing strikers and pushing for promotion is acceptable because he scored a few goals?

Are you related to Ashley Barnes or just stupid?

To clarify you're not prepared to be annoyed at him for being sent off until the language he used to justify his issuance of a red card from the official is confirmed?

Surely irrespective of the lack of a penalty decision in our favour you don't condone a player for being sent off for swearing at an official?

IF highlights show it was a stonewall pen and the decision didn't go in our favour are you genuinely left with a feeling of "oh well never mind Ashley it's not your fault that you lack creative expression in the face of provocation, well done for standing up for what you feel" type thing?

Get real... The guy is thick beyond belief if he can't see the bigger picture and keep his flappy trap shut.

Where have I said it is acceptable? Please note the difference between support and acceptance. Again I ask do you know the exact reasons for his sending off beyond the foul and abusive language? The Sheff Wed was stupid but today beyond that fact I have no idea what happened as I was not there.

Thing is, there are two groups of haters on here: one group (a minority, a vocal minority) thinks he's a useless player, so his suspension shouldn't affect us. The other group think he's an idiot for losing his cool and getting sent off AGAIN for the 3rd time in less than two seasons, and his absence may well cost us. Take your pick.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Seems to be alot of foul and abusive language about this evening.

Barnes in.

Barnes is getting the brunt of everyone's frustration. If he deserved a red then he's been silly but the fact is it didn't affect the game at all. Let's take the positives from today. Not many thought we'd get anything and it seems we deserved something...

No - because referees get things wrong aswell...have you ever been to a football match?

Ok we'll wait and see then as to whether Barnes said anything to the ref. Fancy a wager supaseagull ?

I've had a little read through, I'm loving the amount of quotes along the lines of he used foul and abusive language, which is just not on, so he should just f*** off

Irony anyone?

Went down 3 times clutching his face when balls went into the box, none of whic was there contact let alone a penalty. Then proceeded to chase the ref the length of the pitch constantly in his ear. Blokes a liability and offered next to nothing all game. Second time in a few weeks.
**** him. Hasn't learnt from his mistakes and leaves us with 1 half fit striker for 4 games.
