Good idea in my opinion. Oversexualisation in our society could be having quite a damaging effect. Surely nobody over the age of 15 watches porn anyway? ...and should teenagers be learning about sex like that?
Crikey not sure about that - best gf i ever had loved porn..... sigh happy days

This is more concerning than the reports coming out of North Korea.

You seem so reasonable most of the time, what gives?

I believe that pornography can be unhealthy, even dangerous. But the question is who regulates danger? I think it is the responsibility of individuals to live a healthy life, it is not the responsibility of the government to protect you from yourself.

You are responsible for the things you eat and drink, and you are responsible for the things you chose to read, watch and listen to, also.

With all the good intentions in the world, the government can not make people good or virtuous, and to attempt to do so by banning and mandating things is shortsighted. This approach does not encourage or foster a sense of personal responsibility, instead it just outsources it. Instead of the aim being to encourage responsibility, the aim becomes to encourage obedience. Not good.

First companies start banning working from home, then the EU threaten to ban Johnny Vaughan. Fridays will never be the same again!

Sounds like it could have come straight from a Benefits Agency and DWP strategy meeting...

'What can we do to get more people out there looking for work?'

'Turn off the porn then they'll not be so keen to stay indoors as they'll have to talk to the wife/girlfriend etc.'

The state needs to step in and authoritise when an aspect of culture is causing significant damage to society. I believe that applies to internet porn, MAINLY because children are growing up being exposed things that I couldn't even imagined when I was their age. And I'm glad for that! because I grew up with realistic expectations of sex and don't objectify women, but I question whether that's the case for youngsters these days.

How old are you, out of interest?

I live in a country that reportedly has one of the highest rates of rape and sexual abuse towards women in the world.

Most of this abuse is done by men/boys who do not have access to the internet. We also do not have pornographic tv channels.
