CPFC and money

Cue all the palace propaganda brigade spouting off about their sustainable business model, CPFC2010 are responsible owners etc blah blah. It's a simple case of economics, they are losing money - FACT, the owners have admitted this and the amount they are losing each season is in the several millions. Whatever any palace fans might say, the Zaha money WILL be getting largely swallowed up by their huge debts. I'd be surprised if they've even seen much of it yet anyway, it will like almost every transfer these days be paid in instalments and Man UTd most certainly won't be shelling out the bulk of it all the while he is still at palace. Financially they are screwed unfortunately there are too many if them that blindly believe the bullshit fed to them by the bunch if used car salesmen running their tinpot little club. Brace yourselves, they'll be here in their droves shortly with all their fantasy claims and spin.

I really don't know what I would rather see.
Them in the premiership getting ripped to pieces week in and week out but getting £90 mill in the process, or them missing out, staying in the Championship trying to do something about their falling down stadium, whilst the crowds drop further.
They may well have a team that could get them promoted. but not one that would keep them there.
But they do have a manager that is used to that situation with his term at Blackpool, but then again Blackpool do have a ground that is not falling down so all their premiership money was spent trying to keep them there. Wurzel failed, he walked away and where are Blackpool today, in danger of a second relegation.
Now the thought of the same happening to Palace, I do like.

Palace's is a well regarded academy, if you can't acknowledge that, you just look a bit silly. Using Gareth Barry who left at 16, 16 years ago to try and compare players that the 2 clubs have produced makes you look a bit sillier.

Attendances again, really? Where were your other 25,000 die-hards at the Wankdean or when your other dive was turned into a Toys R Us? This is too easy.

You were the one bringing up "2nd teams" mate, you started it.

Wow you are MONUMENTALLY THICK. The Withdean holds 25,000 does it? Hahahahaha dear me. When we had a ground that could hold 20,000+, we would often get those crowds. Look em up if you don't believe me.

Your ignorance is astounding, don't come into these debates if you don't know the first thing about BHAFC. Read Build A Bonfire.

Based on what? They have 1 proven product so far. One. BHA also have one, who is proven at a higher level for longer.

They're clearly NOT whipping boys since S'OD took over. Keep up. Plenty of Palace fans stated on the match thread on football league forums that BHA would do well to get a point there, they've won their last FOUR IN A ROW. Perfectly happy with a point.

I suppose your perfectly happy with not even having a shot? dont tell me, im sure you are. Its all part of Gus's plan for promotion.

You averaged Around 5500 at the withdean, it holds 8000. But Tarquin and Theo didn't want to get wet and cold so waited for the new stadium to be built and they could sit on padded seats.

Prawn Sandwiches anyone?

It is good sport mate, just reinforces how bitter and jealous these clowns are :D

Yes you are right it is good sport - i can assure you of one thing i have never been and never will be is jealous of CPFC. Even if you get promoted to the premier league.

We are now light years ahead of you as you were us in the dark days of selling the Goldstone, Priestfiled and the withdean, even then i never once felt jealous of your odious club.

One proven product? I guess Kenny Sansom (87 England caps) or Gareth Southgate (57 England caps) just dont count then.

And as for claiming Gareth Barry, whom I'm led to believe left you at sixteen having never played a competitive game for Brightons first team, well, if it makes you happy...

You do know what the premier league is don't you? Thought I better check as I know you have never played in it.

So pathetic when this is continually trotted out by Palace fans. Can you tell me the difference between the top division in English football when we last played in it and now? Is it the SKY money and everything that goes with it i.e. your gates being so low because you've lost so many local Premiership Plastics to Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc.? Are you proud of the Premier League?

You are correct, no question about it, but you have always had good financial backers like the HMRC and local business.

I always forget that Sansom played for Palace, he was one of my favorite players too, and that makes me sad.

As for Southgate, how he ever managed 57 caps is beyond me, decent player but certainly not England standard.

Palace have an academy worthy of respect. They also have a proven history of living way beyond their means, so it’s not hard to imagine that they are doing so again.

Actually we averaged a lot more than that and generally Withdean was between 85-95% full during our tenure there. We lost a whole generation of fans due to having to play in Gilingham and then in a ramshackle shithole temporary stadium that you couldn't park anywhere near. Withdean was expanded on a number of occasions and every time it was we pretty much filled it close to capacity. Those are the facts Nigel but you carry on just making it up.

I imagine if you had to play in a ramshackle shithole of a stadium with no facilities in the arsehole of nowhere your attendances might be affected...........oh hang on!!

And in one post attendances don't matter but then they do in relation to Withdean? Make your mind up and bless you for taking the time to register on NSC to vent your fury and get wound up by a few meaningless posts on your rivals forums.
