Due to all the trains between Southampton and Brighton being cancelled today I gaveup at Portsmouth at 1.30 as the train I could have taken from Pompey reached Brighton at 3.40. Any comments telling me I didn't miss much and was better off at home painting would be much appreciated.

I caught the 1337 from Fratton and got into my seat 4 minutes after kick off.

I couldn't go today as I had chemo on Wednesday, so spent the afternoon cleaning the house. Our son sent me a very pissed off text after Hudd's had equalised and that helped a bit - think I'd better stop there.

Your post puts into context that missing a game doesn't really matter. Hope all goes well.

I normally catch the 1305 from Cosham but that was cancelled. The ticket office told me to get a train to Portsmouth and Southsea and catch the 1340 to Brighton from there which would have got me into Falmer at 1501.What he didn't let me know that that train was cancelled aswell.

Ok.

Well for future reference the 1337 from Fratton is fine, and to get to Portsmouth and Southsea you stop at fratton so you coulda made it easy.

Never trust the train gimps.
