It's getting towards the top end of what I'm willing to pay. I really hope we keep Gus and we keep pushing for the prem and if Gus should ever go, uncle Tony needs to appoint a manager that plays similar good football. I just wonder, if our style of play should ever change or should we not be doing as well with a poorer style of football, how many would still think it was good value? I mean should the product deteriorate, they would never drop the prices would they?
It's a very fine line and a risk. We have alot of fans owning a season ticket for the first time in many years or ever, they will disappear as quick as they came if they feel they are no longer getting value for money. At the moment, it's fine, expensive but fine, but BHAFC needs to be careful not to distance themselves from too many fans. Barber won't be here forever, but we will, unless we are priced out.
Should we make the prem and my ST goes over the 700 mark for ESU, I won't renew. Mainly because of cost and also because I can watch all our games on tv as well. Rises at the moment are just about acceptable, but only just.

This is also another option, but if the cheaper areas filled and left the ESU and WSL half empty, it would not be good. Also by the time your ST gets to 700 a game, the North or SW might be nearer 600 and is it worth it then? It's all a fine line. Like I said, if the football isn't as good and we aren't doing as well ( which will happen at some point in the years to come), will you want to renew then? Even to cheaper seats? It's a difficult one.

I think the OAP prices should be brought in line with the under 18's. It was bad enough when they upped the oap reduction age up to 65 from 60, just before I got there.

Your own comment said the increase to £50 was to cover the club's costs. If so, it's not a subsidy.

What about the drivers, walkers, cyclists, short-distance travellers ? Subsidy for them ?

I think Mr. Barber covers that in this quote:

If you take out the transport subsidy the ticket price increase is quite small.

The subsidy HAS to rise due to the amount the club are shelling out on all aspects of the Amex transport 'project' that encompasses many things.

And I think if you look at the match cost, it's still remarkable value for the quality of surroundings we all enjoy.

How come the WSU central get smashed for the biggest increase a whopping £80 more than the wings that are just a few seats away?

As much as i love my football i will not overspend my hard earned money when i have a young family, IMO they will lose quite a few STH, i will be taking some considerable thought over the increase while watching the match today and see if i have the faith in Gus to shell out more for next season or just go to the odd game instead.

Unfortunately there will always be edge cases. In the extreme scenario, people with neighbouring seats, literally, will be paying different prices.

I do wonder if consideration was given to charging more to those at the front of WSU compared to those further back.

There may be lower prices in the East wings as there is, I suspect, an error in the club announcement on pricing zones. The text included the East in zone C but the diagram has no zone C shading in the East.

It could be that East wings are zone C, with central being zone D.

I'm guessing here but I reckon it is likely.

Well there aren't any wings prices, because I pay £575 this and £625 next, same as the whole East upper.

Quick question for someone - my wife and daughter have STs together at present but my daughter will be looking for a Saturday job from next September. If I renew their tickets from April (in case she doesn't get a job) and then cancel them later, is the money paid lost? I assume so but can someone confirm? Ta

Good point, when will Barber release details of Price Rises for the Prem? If its 20% I won't renew. Watch every game on streaming or foreign satellite channels and of course alot if games on sky, football first etc. If Barber puts it up too much, I just won't watch it at the Amex.
