If we could sign him at the end of the season but he would only sign for us if we payed him 10k a week on a 4 year deal would you be happy with that?

And no, you don't get to have a go on his Mrs.

I would go for a two year deal with a further year option at the end to see how he is holding up. Four year deal would be a large financial commitment to the club at £10,000 a week.

I think the answer would be no and to look for a younger player that's good but could improve. Like a mattock.

who is doing so well at Sheff Wed...?

Personally I dont think the club would offer him 4 years, but i wouldnt be unhappy about it if he signed that sort of deal.

£10k a week isn't enough, and he's far better than that.
There are players at the Albion and elsewhere in the division on significantly more than that.

A two year deal of £20,000 per week. Is that feasible for us?

Indeed he is. So if we could have him at £10k a week for 4 years (which is reality will not be an option) then yes, I'd take him.

I'd be happy if we could keep him in any way possible. He is still ridiculously good, he still chases the ball deep into stoppage time with the enthusiasm and desire of a kid in a playground.

Bridge and Mattock should not even be mentioned in the same sentence yet alone compared. Mattock was good in Div 1 but now struggling to get into the side at Sheff Wed in the Championship so would be no good for a side looking to get into the Premier.

Money can't be an issue for someone who has been earning over 50k per week for the last 6-8 years.

Surely he'll go where he'll be happiest and enjoying his football the most.

Hopefully that's Brighton.

Hmmm Mr Bridge has been outstanding this season, great to watch energy, class, quality and desire perfect for us at present. 3 more seasons more of the same would be fantastic and I believe he would make a great coach, he has a lot to pass on and help younger players. So I think 4 years and whatever a week would help us move in the correct direction.

2 Years with a clause that if he plays over a certain amount of games in the 2nd season it triggers another year extension. I don't doubt he'll still be good enough in 3/4 years it just depends if his body can handle it.

It will probably be him who decides if he wants to stay or play in the US. We could not compete with Man C on the wages front where they are paying nearly all his wages and we are just topping up the last £10K!

He is on £90k per week but will only expect to get a fraction of that with another contract from a new club unless a desperate team like QPR come in for him.
