I genuinely don't understand why there is a waiting list given the number of match day tickets that are NOT selling out. I could understand why there may be a waiting list for a part of the ground that is sold out, say the North or WSU, but if someone is ready and willing to lock into a season ticket now then why aren't we getting them on board before they change their minds?

I can only assume that the club prefer to have everyone on the same annual cycle and/or are seeking to create the illusion of high demand/low supply.

Cutting to the chase: I'm sure you'll get your tickets for next season without any problems, particularly if you're not too bothered about where those seats are.

I was told it was £20 to go on list, I had no problem getting a season ticket.
I can only think there is a waiting list for popular areas like west upper and north.

I've just gone on the season ticket waiting list for me and my two boys, what are the chances we'll get one ? Is there a general consensus on chances ?
No problem.

You know we don't throw bananas anymore right?

Bozza is right , this seems ludicrous when we are not selling out every week , unless there is a rule that we have to keep a percentage for general sale or something ?

Personally, and with absolutely no evidence or knowledge to back this up so it's just a wild hunch, I'd think they'd be pretty good. There's always a 'drop-off' and of course there's the new additional seats to sell. Plus they've had difficulty in selling out the match-by-match tickets this season (my wife said she could see loads of empty seats on the TV for Hull), so perhaps next year they might decide they'd rather take the guaranteed income from a ST as opposed to trying to make a bit more by selling seats on the more expensive match-by-match basis.

Glad to see you're 'seeing the light' more and more. We'll have you voting Labour and reading the Guardian by the end of the year! :lolol:

The £20 charge to join the waiting list might be one reason although that gets given back should waiting turn into buying.

I think clubs keep some back for people who for whatever reason cant afford a season ticket, which I think is fair enough, I also think its a good idea to keep some back for people being introduced to the club, my 9 year old went for the first time on saturday and loved it, I wouldnt have committed to a season ticket without seeing his reactions, I knew the 11 year old liked it but wasnt sure about the 9 year old , he's been to Chelsea a lot of times but finds the noise and sometimes the "nastiness" quite intimidating, he loved the amex , is over the moon that we are also going to Burnley at home and really wants me to get a season ticket.

You could always ask the club how many people are on the waiting list ahead of you - that's what I did when I joined it just after last season started

Oh, I agree with that completely, but it's clear that the number of match day tickets available currently exceeds the number of people that want to buy them. I'd be getting new season ticket holders on board NOW, knowing that I'll have the problem of another 3000 or so seats to shift shortly.

We switched this weekend to 1901 (no waiting list - sorted on the day) so there eill be another couple of ST's available in East Lower from today. Recommend east for anyone with kids as you get the "extras" such as face paint, posters and sweetshop but I wonder if the club are keen to hold back and populate the new corners.

We were told on Saturday that the new corners could both be ready for Huddersfield. Also that the new 300+ seat balcony above the northwest corner will be offered to schools and youth groups helping to build the next generation of fans - fantastic idea!

I also had to hesitantly and apologetically tell my mate who is a chelsea season ticket holder , I have gone with him for the past 24 years , I wasnt looking forward to it , but even he says he doesnt blame me , so all good so far !

Agree with severnside gull - East stand lower. Family stand if you can get in. Prices are cheaper, and loads of kids that age in that area.

spoke to my mate , I think I'd like to go for west lower , nearer the north stand, apparently 70% of brighton goals scored there , good atmosphere etc, and I will know a few people, anyway, we will see.

That is directly opposite the family part of the East. That is also up the Goal End!

You'll pay significantly more for your kids' seats in the WSL. In the FS it's £5 a game for U16 and £1 for U10. Good to be near people you know though.
