I see from reading today's programme that Steve Ford and Alan Sanders are both leaving their roles as joint MD's of Albion In The Community this summer / at the end of the season
Wish them well wherever they are off to next
One of the last remaining links to our Withdean era following on from Martin Hinshelwood leaving last summer, and Ken Brown leaving not long before
Interestingly their interim replacement Michael Edwards as AITC Chief Executive will report to both Paul Barber and Dick Knight

As we are almost four years into having Tony Bloom as chairman is not impossible to imagine that the deal when Dick Knight stood down and stayed as AITC chairman could see him leave this role after five years? (think he may be 75 then having I think stood down as chair when reaching 70) i.e there would be a permanent AITC Chief Executive in place who Paul Barber hepls select for whenever / if ever Dick Knight leaves role as AITC Chair

Would be no great surprise / possibly planned timimg that when Martin Perry leaves finally in summer 2014 having finished training ground that Dick Knight may choose to leave AITC role at the same time

The pair of them would deserve a permanent and fitting tribute if and when the above does transpire to happen

Yes,yes !

Forty foot tall statues of each of these legends as a gateway to the new training ground, holding giant scimitars a la Saddam.Planning consent would be a doddle.

Statues at the Amex? They'd be a whole lot more appropriate to honor than Michael Jackson at Fulham!

Isn't Dick still on the board in some capacity. Also lots of connections still in coaching and club staff

Brown was only a brief figure in the clubs's history, at the very end of the Withdean era and beginning of Amex era, earning £100k per annum.
Squeezed out when TB realised he had presided over the first of the mega £8m losses.

The others you mention have done a fantastic job for small or no remuneration.

What about a statue for the unknown supporter?

Actually-i am getting all emotional now....

Mum has a heritage stone, but what about statue of a "row" of fans, that through one reason or another, never made it to the amex...

Be worth £100 to contribute..

I would imagine that many of us have friends or family that we remember fondly who never made it to Falmer. One of the best friends I had who lived and breathed Brighton just fell short a few years ago. I think of him every match as it is impossible not to regret what happened. He died at 39 five or six years ago. Lewes council have a lot to answer for.

Oh I say! What an absolutely CORKING shout there, Codesta. Maybe Uncle Hiney can draw us an artist's impression?

:) Now you're talking!

You'd need 20k of them to cover all the JCLs ;)

We've all got to start somewhere!
