Yes the op is right....we need success now!!!!! We need automatic promotion this year, a premiership top 4 next year....champions league the year after that.......we need to be the greatest team in Europe in three years....we NEED this.

If Gus and bloom can't give it to us, we need them OUT and get in some Arab royal family.

We are so impatient for results, we need a full overhaul of this shit club we have....I can't believe we have allowed the rest of the division to play better than us at times.....we are brighton FFs....the greatest team on the planet.

I listen to the games online and I also watch online when they are televised and the one thing I notice consistently is the space that is given to the opposition, the fact that we never close them down and rarely tackle; with the exception of Lua Lua.
We tend to wait till we get possession and never take the ball from the opposition by force.
It's getting to the point where it is becoming a non contact sport.
Barnes' behaviour on the pitch was disgraceful and he needs to get a hefty fine from the club and be made to watch the replay of the event over and over again for 90mins every game he does not play.

Luna Lua is a great tackler.

Sadly Granny, you've hit the nail on the head, reading some of the posts on here, there will be lynch mob forming for Gus if we don't reach the top 6. Whatever happened to just enjoying football and supporting your team (even if they are a lowly 8th in the championship). Instead of analysing every minute detail?

It's the only fear i have is about holding gates at levels sustainable to mount a challenge-perhaps i am worrying too much as i think we can sustain 20,000 for a few seasons more yet

It's true, we are too slow, it was a worry right from the start yesterday, not an ounce of pace in the starting up, we were hardly going to pass them off the park on that bobbly pitch, surely Gus must have known that?... Sad state of affairs when the quickest player in your starting 11 is the goalkeeper.

It needs to be said, what's the problem with the squad of players we've got? Is it that the m/f is too slow attacking and can't score, is it that the forwards are played in a formation that doesn't suit them? do we have too many players and the team is chopped and changed too much? are we too defensive and don't use the talent available from the start to attack teams? are our tactics wrong and we are being out-thought by the oppossition manager? Well IMHO it's all of these and the blame needs to be laid at the door of the man incharge Gus Poyet, because for the 2 seasons at the Amex he's been doing all of these and we're not seeing any great improvements in the final results on the field with what is a more talented squad. The most damning stat is the one of our many times we've come back to win when going a goal down first, how long will Bloom wait to see an improvement in results?

Some of your points are correct.

Yesterday we lacked width. When on the pitch Barnes kept running into the centre ground adding to the congestion. The ball isn't moved quickly enough from back to front, again this was highlighted when Bridcutt did go off there was less fluffing about at the back and for a period up to our goal we dominated. CMS injected speed into the side sadly lacking in the first half.

I for one find it odd given our squad with a glut of attacking players, we can play and is obviously a tactic such a negative style. Poyet took the blame for Blackburn but he just doesn't seem to learn, if he wants us to have the attitude of win one lose one, indicating a reserved gun-ho approach well he needs to stop worrying so much about the opposition and go attack minded. As has been said by so many the fact we are unable to turn around games from a losing position highlights the problem. At half time yesterday he should have withdrawn Spanish Dave, Bridcutt and Hammond and brought on Lua Lua, CMS and Hoskins. Might as well go for it and lose 5-0 as do nothing.

We finished in tenth on 66 points last season. So let's see how we finish this season. I still believe we will better that position. 16 games to go. One point a game sees us better off. I believe we will turn it on.

A drink called deluded.

A bad day at the office:
Been dozens of them over the last 17 months:
Failures to win at home,
And away defeats.

Quite often against teams assembled on a far lower budget.

"Bad day at office" theory. Been so many of them.

I see you're still poppin' up with your tedious shite. It makes me wonder why you struggle on suffering The Albion - if they only ever conspire to demolish your lofty expectations & piss on ya pie. I guess as a last resort, there's always Prozac to combat the horrors of life in the top half of The Championship...

Yes I think we will win on Saturday. Strangely enough I think we will win every game. Until we don't. Called optimism. Makes the whole 'supporting a football team' thing much more fun I find.

Bingo! :clap2:

My honest view of the problem from yesterday, even before the sending off:

We had not one ounce of pace in that side, and that made it extremely easy for a well organised but technically inept side to stay tight on us and make it hard for us to create anything. Ulloa was impressive, superb first touch and hold up play, but his only outlet was Lopez and Barnes who offered next to nothing in terms of creativity.

On the flip side, they had Lita, Helan, and Antonio with bundles of pace who could run at a player to creat an attack out of nothing. Luckily (to some extent) they had absolutely no technical ability and couldn't punish us further. It was honestly like watching Usain Bolt play football, and that's where we should punish teams, given both of our pacey wingers can beat a man and then make a team pay.

Don't the adverts that appear work on the basis that you might be interested as you have been viewing stuff of a similar ilk?

I'm happily married with 3 kids and never look at dating sites, it could be because this is a football themed site and could mainly attract mostly men with a number of them being single, just a thought.

I think that most people that look at the squad we have believe we should be doing better than we are, not necessarily top or even second, but up there in the lower reaches of the play-offs. People look back at last year when we were close for so long and expect a better finish this year. Tactics and team selection play a big part. We seem to chop and change far too often and worry more about what the opposition is going to do rather than what we will. And whilst I am relatively happy with GP in charge, some of his decisions seem to be odd. Hoskins gets a goal and then doesn't get a look in. Lua Lua is in and out of the team. Look at last season when we lost by a lucky deflection to Reading and deserved so much more out of the game yet the team is drastically changed for our next game against a main rival and we get hammered.

I also believe the two CBs (Greer and AEA) are far to slow getting the ball across to the full backs or to the midfield from where we can build attacks which slows the whole game down and allows the opposition to retain their defensive shape, evidenced by how often the likes of KLL has to negotiate two defenders rather than just one!

Yeah , that Stephanie always seems up for it, not sure if I could keep up seems she wants a different bloke every night!

Beware of Stephanie she is a stalker if I log on at home in Horsham she is 3 miles away but when I log on from work in London she is still 3 miles away therefore she must be following me and the wife will never believe me that I have nothing to do with her.
