It needs to be said, what's the problem with the squad of players we've got? Is it that the m/f is too slow attacking and can't score, is it that the forwards are played in a formation that doesn't suit them? do we have too many players and the team is chopped and changed too much? are we too defensive and don't use the talent available from the start to attack teams? are our tactics wrong and we are being out-thought by the oppossition manager? Well IMHO it's all of these and the blame needs to be laid at the door of the man incharge Gus Poyet, because for the 2 seasons at the Amex he's been doing all of these and we're not seeing any great improvements in the final results on the field with what is a more talented squad. The most damning stat is the one of our many times we've come back to win when going a goal down first, how long will Bloom wait to see an improvement in results?

What we need is a new thread on this every couple of days. That way maybe Gus will read them and change his whole football philosophy or bugger off to chelsea and all our problems will be solved.

Oh apart from finding a better manager than him to come and manage us.

Still we are going well with the new thread every couple of days. We do need to be more consistent in this area after wins though. He may look and think everything is okay after a win.

I listen to the games online and I also watch online when they are televised and the one thing I notice consistently is the space that is given to the opposition, the fact that we never close them down and rarely tackle; with the exception of Lua Lua.
We tend to wait till we get possession and never take the ball from the opposition by force.
It's getting to the point where it is becoming a non contact sport.
Barnes' behaviour on the pitch was disgraceful and he needs to get a hefty fine from the club and be made to watch the replay of the event over and over again for 90mins every game he does not play.

New cb that joined from a hoof ball team on Thursday night, a foreign striker who played his 1st league game yesterday and we were down to 10 in the first half.

Don't the adverts that appear work on the basis that you might be interested as you have been viewing stuff of a similar ilk?

It happens to me too. My wife thinks I am looking for a new woman.

Isn't it amazing how they are all 3 miles away?

Now, to my thinking, either they are all living in one big house, or they are formed in some sort of sinister 'holding pattern' surrounding my village.

I "Welcome" those ads myself here of the boards,i mean i show the missus and say "Look, can't escape it can you these days"

she replies,'that's because NSC is where all the men are'.

(Music to my ears i thought to myself  )

Now you have to understand that i love my missus and we have been together for 14 years and look forward to many many more happy years together,however-

Purely from a "research and better understanding point of view" i now know i can "peruse" some sites at leisure now,i might "accidentley" click onto a site (in a moment of drunken madness) and feel safe that,if a stray email found it's way into the inbox, from (((Dirty Debbie 3 miles away))) i could have some form of defence.

Besides i'm not looking for a career change,so viewing such sites,is purley leisure, but i need to keep my eye in,who knows one day i might need to take things to a more serious level, best be prepared i say..

Brilliant! I was having similar thoughts. Where I live it means they are all hanging around in the woods 'waiting to meet me'.
Fantastic diversion from a stupid thread.
in answer to the OP - there is NOTHING wrong with the squad. Had a bad day is all. Will be great on Saturday against Hull. OK?

You mean you think that we'll beat a side in the top 4? Can I have some of what you are on please?

The problem, easy...He picks the wrong side with the wrong tactics. Funny how when Bricutt went off we became a much more attacking force, even with ten men. Bridcutt is a great player in the right formation, the formation we play is not going to get 12 wins from 17 games, at this stage of the season when every one is scrapping.

Yes I think we will win on Saturday. Strangely enough I think we will win every game. Until we don't. Called optimism. Makes the whole 'supporting a football team' thing much more fun I find.

Fair enough. I hope you're right.

A drink called deluded.

A bad day at the office:
Been dozens of them over the last 17 months:
Failures to win at home,
And away defeats.

Quite often against teams assembled on a far lower budget.

"Bad day at office" theory. Been so many of them.
