Looks like you weren't at the game, not listening to the radio nor looking on the web site. Bridcutt was subbed at half time for CMS - so we just played 45 mins with 10 men and drew 1-1 - it can be done ....

Bridcutt was probably our best player in the first half - haven't yet found out whether he was injured or it was tactical.

Neither, out shopping with her indoors, perhaps tactical but if he is injured,i used to fear that, now it could be a blessing,in the mid term.

We are better in there,no doubt, perhaps we need 2 defensive midfielders, 4-2-1-3 Would love to see Vicente as the 1 (if he stays fit from now on).....

Interesting idea, we could probably do that with Hammond. Or perhaps David Albelda...:moo:

It was tactical as Bridcutt is on 9 yellows so Poyet didn't want to risk him & Barnes being suspended at the same time.

Yep he was shocking. All he did was back into players and pull shirts. Very dirty and he was substituted to prevent him from getting sent off. He must have committed about 6 or 7 fouls.

He cost 2 million? Blimey. Hope he was having an off day.

I dunno .... last week I thought Ulloa was mediocre at best in the first half... he did stick the ball in the net, but it fell to him. He was fractionally offside though so that was irellevent. Second half, I thought he was very promising... then scored that terrific diving header. And so got carried away with the "wasnt he great" sentiments that everybody else was coming out with.

What I dont want to do is build the guy up too high too soon. Nor do I want to knock him too soon. I think Dobbie suffered from this. The guy had only just joined, ran out for 30mins and at the end of that people had already decided he wasnt good enough - I thought that was ludicrous!

So.... lets give Ulloa a while to settle in. He's not a god,nor is he shyte.

Calms down a bit and he has all the attributes to be a right handful?

what was the rest of his game like in a non biased way, touch off the ball, positions, pace, control etc

Frankly, on the basis of your teams performance in August at the Amex (the worst side to visit this season? Or joint worst with Barnsley?). I'd assume you'd know not to judge on one performance....

He had a decent first touch, that's about it. He struggled against our centre halfs and just resorted to fouling them. Don't know if it's a different style in Spain, Rodri was the same for us, used to give away stupid fouls.

You've ignored all the rough stuff he had to endure in the 1st half from the Wednesday defenders but when he has decided to do the same the ref has given free kicks against him and given him a final warning. No surprise then when a Wednesday player crumpled to the ground after competing for a header with Spanish Len to get him a yellow card.

That will do me,i know he can check a run,to stay onside (watch his goal last week vs Arsenal) head a ball and is 2 footed, think he will be ok,thanks for his English Football initiation,he needed a tough time to get into things.

Ulloa has not been playing many matches this season, a bit rusty and unfit i'd say. It is only his second game for BHA, he lost his strike partner early on and lead the line, on his own against a big Wednesday defence.
Don't worry about him, he plays for us.

Posh end of Shoreham
I thought on a miserable day for us he looked just what we've been missing, winning balls in the air holding the ball up well and making a nuisance of himself playing the lone striker roll how on earth those thick northern monkeys can call him shit is beyond me
Anybody who wasn't at the game and has read this thread don't believe any of the negative comments that have been said about Ulloa he his quality and will score loads of goals for us

When you and your team have an idea about football maybe you will stop being relegation candidates. Your not even the biggest club in your own town, how does that feel?

All your team did for 90 minutes was lump it up the field, no wonder you have a half empty stadium, someone couldn't pay me to watch dribble like that

If he actually bothered to pick himself up off the floor he played well. Mckail Smith was your best asset today.

Thanks for the 3 points :)
