All depends on the snowfall on Friday , anything more than an inch or two and it will be called off as everything will grind to a halt.

Really? Don't the coach organisers take out cancellation insurance? I believe it only adds a £1 per head or so to the Official Supporters club coach trips to be fully covered in case of events like this occurring.

The Environment Department has issued a travel warning due to the snowfall and bad road conditions.
They suggest that anyone travelling in the current icy conditions should make sure they have the following with them:
Shovel
Blankets or sleeping bag
Extra clothing including hat, gloves and high-vis jacket
24 hours’ worth of food and 5 litres of drinking water
De-icer
Tow rope
Rock salt
Torch with spare batteries
Road flares and reflective triangles
Full petrol/diesel can
First aid kit
Booster cables

I got given a snow shovel for Christmas a couple of years ago
It's remained, in its wrapper, in the boot of my car ever since, never seeing so much as a flake. I can't wait for the opportunity to use it. In fact, I may drive to Birmingham deliberately, just in the hope of getting stuck on the M40 somewhere, and getting the chance to dig myself out.

It's remained, in its wrapper, in the boot of my car ever since, never seeing so much as a flake. I can't wait for the opportunity to use it. In fact, I may drive to Birmingham deliberately, just in the hope of getting stuck on the M40 somewhere, and getting the chance to dig myself out.
Last Weekend Sainsburys were selling snow shovels reduced from £15 to £5. Must have been some old stock or their powers of weather prediction are better than the Met Office.

Looks like Birmigham is due 5 inches of snow on Friday and more on Saturday, so expect to be off. However the nightmare will be that game is on, but Brighton is closed down with a small amount of snow and its impossible to travel to the game.
Hopefully if off, it is called early so that not wasted journey.

I'm well practiced at that, I spent an entire night shift last January digging out cars from the A23 at Warninglid, as their mainly teenage and chronically underdressed occupants on their way home from a night out on the piss in Brighton found they couldn't get their Citroen Saxos through the snow.

Even if its called off, before you travel - if you have advance train tickets and dont use them if a train service is running - you will not be able to get a refund - which will probably be the case anyway as trains ran north of London fairly well the last time we had heavy snow. The clubs wont pay for it either, just the cost of the match ticket.
Though if you bought them through Southern and HAVENT picked them up yet, you can get a refund through the "Rainy Day" thingy they run.
Match wont be off for frozen pitch, only reason realistically would be safety grounds on police advice (wont be called off if transport doesnt run either as they dont rely on it like us).

Given the freezing temperatures this week and for the next few days ahead, the underground heating system is on for the game, however there is some snow forecast on Friday for as much as up to 15cm and further snow overnight Friday into Saturday with a slight thaw and sunshine forecast for Saturday itself. The pitch and underground heating system coped well with 5cm snow we had on Monday morning and with no issues, therefore unless we were to receive epic proportions of snow Friday and Saturday, at this stage we do not have any particular concern with regards to the game on Saturday. We will access again tomorrow.

I'm going with BHA Blues away, I spoke to Jon last night and if it sets off on a failed journey it has to be paid for, if its cancelled before setting off I don't know.
