Who were those players who's bodies couldn't keep up with their talent?

To start of Ledley King, 32 already retired, great centre half could have been one of the very best.

Dean Ashton, Michael Johnson, Vicente, Kieron Dyer, Hargreaves. How 'great' are we talking?

Michael Owen :jester:

Everywhere
The Brazilian Denilson who was a left winger, was once the most expensive player in the world, the same applies to Lentini.

Robbie Fowler, he was one of the best natural finishers but had a real bad time with injurys.

Surprised no one has said Michael Owen yet.

One of the top answers.

He would have been Englands top ever scorer with with EASE if he had a normal fitness record. A huge shame.

The original Ronaldo also had those 3 years of ridiculous injury luck but still managed some ridiculous recoveries.

Before last season I would have also said Robin Van Persie. He's finally had 2 full seasons and look what happens.

Paul McGrath ex manure and villa. Didn't do too badly from the game but he was very underrated during his time imo

Kevin Beattie, Ipswich and England. Only won 9 caps but would have got 100+ if not for injury. Was reckoned one of the best ever English defenders, Bobby Robson said he was the best English player ever, retired aged 28.
