India finish on 285/6 having SMASHED 82 from the last 6 overs.

Could be a tricky chase for England

Just chuckling at Jade Dernbach's last over. TWENTY off it.

Specialist death bowler my f***ing arse. Seriously how does he keep getting games. His ODI economy rate is nowhere near respectable.

Jade Dernbach's ODI record before today:

Bowling
Ave 36.62, Economy 6.09

Batting
Ave 3.75

Not sure what he brings to the table...

They've messed that up spectacularly, the first 40 overs were GREAT.

I genuinely have no idea - surely Meaker's got to be a better bet? I also feel sorry for Chris Woakes, everyone knows that his bowling isn't going to be very effective on the subcontinent yet somehow he ends up not only in the side but bowling in the last ten overs?

Will be interesting to see if the pitch continues to slow - India have 3 pace bowlers in the side but a myriad of part-time spinners who may well have more joy...

To be fair to Jane, Dhoni and Jadeja were also dispatching Finn and Woakes to all parts by the end of the innings....

No doubt FIGJAM will save us.

Well, he has the opportunity to build an innings & show what he can do.

Cook currently 14no from 10 balls & (so far) showing KP show it's done. He really is CLASS. :clap2:

FFS why say that now? :nono:

Point taken, though I did insert "(so far)" to lessen the jinx factor! I find it hard to contain my manlove for Cookie.

KP seems to be indignantly responding to my praise for Cook, so every cloud...!

Bat down to Treadwell so not all over, 5 an over for the next 5-10 overs then push on!

Odds for an India win... 1/40, which would suggest the bookies certainly think it's all over!

Kieswetter 1 from 17!
