Big game snivelling chokers and Murray

Poyet is the man for the job but fair is fair, when he gets things wrong he has to face up to it to then address it. His side have again shown themselves to be big game snivelling chokers. The record against palace is lost two and drawn one. At this rate Poyet will have given away our head to head advantage over them soon enough. It is not also just the palace games. Remember the Liverpool game at Anfield where he sent his players out with the mentality of shaking hands every 5 minutes, asking a scouse player if there was anything more they could do for them and after getting destroyed on national telly, hugging and swapping shirts with those that destroyed them. Hardly crazy gang fighting spirit was it. Poyet then has a huge grin and waffles on about what great friends he has in the game. Poyet is paid by BHA, and he needs to accept the pressure that comes with managing the championship club with the largest gates in the division - he is expected to get us promotion, not lose out to rivals who struggle to get half through the turnstile than we do. It was also his decision to let Murray go and spent the money on CMS. Barnes and CMS are his strike force and neither of them could hit a cows arse with a banjo. At the next game, lets see some backbone and if we lose again then it would help if he wiped that smile off his face.

To be fair, Murray's in the form of his life. It was just unfortunate it was our turn to be on the receiving end of it yesterday.

We do seem to play with a kind of self-consciousness at times, but perhaps that is what happens when you are trying to carve out a new kind of footballing identity.

The game yesterday was lost because of the sending off. If it had been 11 vs 11 we would have been far more competitive and who knows what the score would have been.

Gus is the man, no doubt. But he doesn't get the whole Palace thing. He is quoted as saying the fans will be disappointed they weren't entertained because the sending off spoiled the spectacle (I paraphrase). For this game, Gus, we care first about the result and second that the players scrap and give their all. The fans are disappointed because we got neither yesterday.

Football - some days it makes you laugh , some days it makes you cry. If we won every game and played like world champions every week it would soon get very boring.

Oh so true.Empty seats at the Nou Camp as the Brighton of Spanish football rolled out another win.983 passes without interruption, some of them necessary,87% possession.8 more goals for that jammy little bloke from the Argentine.Truly Cassanova the manager probably scores again afterwards.Bloody yawn.

How's Nuns Corner? Used to "teach" at GCTA many moons ago,and survived visits to Cleethorpes!

Really? So why has he chosen to stay living in Brighton?

That's not 'us' is it? That's living in Brighton as opposed to moving to Croydon-not exactly a difficult decision there .

GCTA is now the Grimsby Institute  My eldest son went there and studied "Film & Media" about 6 years ago after leaving Caistor Yarborough School.
