Just me or was that chaotic on the way back to the station? They created more trouble than was necessary by getting everyone walking then stopping every so often and then getting all over the top when people started pushing because they were getting pushed from behind. Punches were thrown by the police towards our lot.
Generally put the icing on the cake of a rubbish day out, needs to be better organised next year

Thought they handled the situation quite well tbh,it`snever gonna be perfect is it.Before the game i asked a copper who was being kept behind he said it depends on the result and that they were hopling for a palace win for obvious reasons, from the officials decisions i think they were told that the result for this one must go the scums way the ref ignored the linos flag at least twice ffs and Dunk should never have walked for that tackle

Thought they were alright, held us back for 20min after the whistle and then just escorted us to the station where a train was waiting. What did annoy me was people smashing wing mirrors on cars.

If that is true, and I don't disbelieve you, it is truly pathetic.

I think it's only fair the Palace fans get held outside the South Stand for 40 mins after the kick off and then marched back to
London Road station in March. Seems only fair.

no good, if some 'erberts from both sides wanna beat each other up that's their issue, but to bring innocent people into it for no reason, f*** sake it's hard enough to make ends meet as it is without having to fork out for car repairs

A lot of the car owners would not have even gone to the game. They may have even belonged to BHA fans. Even if they belonged to Palace fans.... It s ucks! Many of us have driven to games today. You don't expect your car to be vandalised.

**Awaits thickies to come on and justify their actions***

that's what I mean, if you drive to the match, leave a window sticker up or whatever and it gets done, as bad as you feel you sort of accept it, but those people who's only crime is to live there get their cars done for no reason, the're out of pocket and our good name is tarnished, who wins?

Bollocks Over the top policing. I was in the main lot corralled and escorted back to Norwood Junction. A couple of Estate agent signs and a dustbin was about the sum of the damage.

No, i wasnt watching our fans rip wing mirrors off, throw stuff at peoples houses and smash a couple of car windows not to mention all the aggro given to all the locals, including old people, who had NOTHING to do with the football at all. If you seriously want to cause trouble - cause it with those who look for it only.

Policing did look over the top so im not surprised they were heavy handed.

Happened last season too, and BHA fans on here said it was their cars.. :wozza:

I'm not condoning it all but if I lived around the ground there is no way in the world I would be parking my car there on derby day...

2 hrs after FT and I am in Brighton having a pint, having not seen a single Palace fan after leaving the ground. Can't complain about the policing at all IMO.

May I presume that you don't drive due to your poor and selective vision. On that escorted walk back to Norwood Jct there was barely a wing mirror left in tact. Utterly pathetic some of our fans!

Typical over the top policing from the worst police force in the country. They would have kept everyone penned in for longer if a few people hasn't started to try push their way through.

You see, being short sighted you've completely missed the point about them. They aren't trouble, they sing songs throughout the 90 odd minutes and have almost single handedly brought the atmosphere back to our ground. Then again, had they all started fighting your 'mob' (i'm assuming every well ard geezer from your club went today) then you'd have used that stick to beat us. It's all a bit tedious. Just try and say well done and you'll try and turn us over at your place you silly 1980's person.

Left after 85 minutes and walked back to Norwood Junction and got a train home.

I think there were some idiots vandalising cars which was pretty stupid and one person on the train from East Croydon to Hove had a wooden seat - not sure what the point of taking one of them was but perhaps they needed fire wood ?

Some of the behaviour of our "supporters" yesterday was dire. Saw an elderly lady in her Palace hat walking her dog verbally abused, the catering staff repeatedly called cnuts, seats kicked out and cars damaged. Not a good day at all..

It was quite embarrassing at times but I suppose some people will consider themselves "well hard" after the day.

One fan was so drunk at half time they fell in the netting over seats and was then helped to the bogs by a steward as they were incapable themselves.

We had chav city at Norwood Junction after the game

Generally those people trying to push their way through were people pushing people in front, who then pushed people in front of them into the police line. Very helpful pushing their fellow fans into a line of riot police just because they were tired of waiting.

Yeah it was sad. You can't even blame the defeat for it as most of this was going on before kick off.
