Yes, that's the spirit, it's not all about popularity.

I did cause my own downfall by replying to the other thread though

I think this is good timing for us. Gus isn't ready for the Chelsea job, and after giving one old player with a fairly modest managerial reputation a go, I don't see Roman doing it again anytime soon.

Gus has absolutely no chance of even being considered for the job let alone getting an interview. He'd have to get us promoted in style and get us into the top 6 before he'd stand any chance at all imo. He'd be better off taking the Uruguay job and getting them to the WC semi finals to get a sniff of the Chelsea job imo.

Not a chance in hell of Abramovich giving Gus a chance. Never in a million years. Nothing else needs to be said.

Only one of two possibly, going there probably Guardiola or as outside bet Mourinhio going back as his daughter has just signed up for a college ion London although BBC Sport is suggesting Benitez is the front runner.

It demonstrates the diversity of these boards that over recent weeks we've had threads wanting Gus out as he's supposedly not up to managing Brighton, and at the same time threads linking him with the biggest jobs in football....

Yes but obviously this isn't a serious thread.

I agree with you but something in the back of my mind reminds me of the Palace fans saying the same about DF !!!!
