Any stamp collectors?

Slowly clearing my dads old books out, I have a few Stanley gibbons catalogues
1969,1984, and 1985 not in mint condition but ok for the age, plus a few other assorted stamp collectors books ((all old)

Are they worth anything on eBay or £30 the lot!!

Eastbourne auction rooms have a sale going today and theres some stamp albums in it. you can see the auction online and see what items went for I beleive (Mrs H is the auction guru but she's out)

in another life I used to deal in stamps and all the things that go with it, I spent hundreds of £'s on catalogues, gibbons and Michel and when I sold all of my stock to another dealer he did not want the catalogues
I could not give them away
they went into the paper bin at the local collection point in Wales eventually nearly £270 worth
give them to a kid that collects stamps
if you can find one that is

It being the sort of thing you did as a kid in the 70's, I had an unremarkable collection.

Until a family friend legged it from Iran just before the Shah was overthrown.
He gave me sheets of still connected unused Shah stamps from pretty much the last run.

I occasionally wonder if I've lost my nest egg.

I have about 30 albums of stamps that my dad collected for years, they are probably worthless, but of course to him before he died they were treasured, Its just what to do with them?
