Too true unfortunately based on last night's performance. If we were top, what the hell does that say about the other teams in the division?

Gus has got a lot of serious shaking up to do ... including coming up with a plan B for when our plan A is found out. And we very much need a target man.

Oh, and do you think Cardiff would do a swap of Noone for LuaLua???

It tells me we are only 9 games into the season and too many people had unrealistic expectations that we would have won every game.

Instead, we are third in the league with a goal difference of +9.

It tells me this is a tough league full of strong teams and that our manager has work to do to navigate through this. Listening to his comments he clearly knows this.

The other thing is... I am having a laugh. I love my Albion football. It's bloody brilliant.

Ps anyone seen Vicente?

I loved mine up until the Sheff W game which I thought was one of the best all-round football performances I had ever seen from an Albion team. Since then we've just gone of the rails (as far as home performances are concerned), and to go from heros to zeros in such a short space of time is very worrying. Sure CMS and Bruno are out, but we cannot rely on two players alone?

Everyone played well against Wednesday, not just those two. Last night was weird...our best passers of the ball were consistently passing to the opposition, and the whole team was static, there was so little movement off the ball. Confidence looked low. We looked as though we would never score. But we did, and that may be the shot of positivity we need to turn this 'blip' around and get us back on course.
The performances to get us to the top of the league have been fantastic, but we aren't always going to play at that level.

Was left incredibly irritated watching Saturday and last night. When it works it's fantastic to watch, when we are chasing a game at home, against an organised team, it is frustating in the extreme. Painfuly slow build up and no presence in the box.

Remind me when we last won a game having been a goal down??

We have not looked like a top of the table team or played with the confidence of one recently. Shame that so many of our more creative players are injured at the same time.

Agreed. What frustrates me the most about the team at the moment is the pace at which we play. It is so, so slow that it gives the opposition all the time in the world to decide how to counteract what we are trying to do. Both Birmingham and Ipswich clearly showed that they were not frightened of what we had to offer in the slightest, which is worrying in two apparently average teams. Have we really become so transparent and predictable? Sadly, it looks like it.

Yeah, I can't believe we lost last night.

Breaking news. Sometimes teams don't play to their FULL ability for every game.

If Barcelona played to their potential every game then they would NEVER lose a single match as they have the best group of players in the world.

But sometimes they DO lose.

It doesn't mean they are in a crisis.
It doesn't mean they fluked the other wins
It doesn't mean they need a new plan
It doesn't mean they've been SUSSED.
It doesn't mean they are going downhill.

They just didn't play as good as they could have done.

We've not won a couple of games in a 46 game league.

Are you on this forum today just to win some kind of twat of the day award?

I wonder what qpr fans are thinking. They have invested heavily and can't get a win. Lets hope there more patient than we are.

What a surprise, the biggest twat on NSC has piped up with his usual miserable ramblings because we've lost a couple of games.

What are you like when it's something serious?

As for Cardiff swapping Noone for Lua-Lua, no they wouldn't. Why do you ask? I don't get the point you are trying to make.

The last two games have been a reality check. We've had a relatively easy first nine games. The next nine games are:

Derby (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Leicester (A)
Blackpool (A)
Leeds (H)
Peterborugh (H)
Wolves (A)
Huddersfield (A)
Bolton (H)

If we are still top six after we play Bolton we are genuine contenders

I don't understand? Are you saying you don't rate Lualua now, because of a sub-par performance? If that's the case, why would you want Noone back, as you presumably wrote him off after the Swindon game.

.

That's all very well if we get 6 points from the next 3 games. The worry is that we are at the start of another poor run of games.

Who's worried about something that MIGHT happen?

I take no medication and I'm not worried in the slightest.

I COULD be hit by a bus on the way home for work.
I COULD fall down the stairs later.

I'm not WORRIED about it.
