Do you honestly think the Albion could be playing Premier League football in Aug 2013

Because without a doubt, I do.

Everthing is in place.

The strength and depth of the squad is incredible.

The infastructure in two years has gone from almost cottage industry to slick cooperate outfit.

Of all the recent changes in Brighton & Hove, the Albion is by far the best and most dynamic.

Could or Will? If the former, of course (but that could apply to at least a dozen teams) If the latter way too early to say with any level of confidence, ask again after Xmas?

Not for me this is a step too far playing in wonderful arena and not having players like Hawkins, Dixon and Holdroyd.

Bars were you can buy decent food and drink, restaurants where you can eat quality food, loads of fans and Superstore selling quality merchandise

Personally we should go back to Withdean.

this division is too hard to call, BUT, I reckon we're in with a good chance.

Bloody hell, if this David Lopez turns out to be as good as Bruno and Vicente, and let's face it, he probably is going to be, we're going to have one hell of a team.

I went on a stadium tour about 6 weeks ago. I highly recommend it by the way. Throughout the plush surroundings of the West Stand, I had to keep reminding myself, yes this is Brighton's stadium and nobody is going to take it away from us.

Could be in the prem-yes
Will we- no because I think there are at least 3 teams better than us in this league, but if not this season then next year
Having said this I think we will be in the top 6 so anything can happen once in the play offs

Stupid question.

No, we aspire to finish mid table, in a rocketship new shiny stadium and Gus building a team worthy of taking on the best in Europe. Let's just hope to steer clear of relegation

Some simpletons on here, honestly.

The season just started, Gus says he's "looking forward to working with these players".

Don't we have names that are BIG enough to stop thinking we're punching above our weight yet?

The strength and depth of the squad is incredible.
It most definitely is for us, it's easily top 10 in the division, it's possibly even good enough for promotion.

Is it good enough to not do a Southampton, I have my doubts.

We've never been better set, and in an ideal world come Jan 31st we'll have a pretty good idea what the season has in store.

To early to say now, but if pushed I'll say no.

Getting to the Premiership is one thing; staying there is something else altogether.

We have the squad, we have the potential. But other teams have the same! It's a question of do we have the consistency that we lacked last season? If we do, then we have an outstanding chance.

The thing that hit me on Friday night was the amount of people & coaches etc and made me thing it was just like one of our away day cup games, but no, this was a Brighton home game! good times.

I do think we can and if we do it will be because of our tremendous strength in depth. We now have superb cover for every position and that will be necessary when we get to December, Jan and Feb - when injuries happen and suspensions start to affect us.

We're already suggesting that Crofts may not get straight back in to the current side - and we haven't even mentioned our other three signings, KLL, Calderon and Dunk. The only other side with similar backup strength is Blackburn - but I'm not sure they have a manager that can use them effectively (and you can't keep conceding 3 goals and not losing).

Yes but Crofts/Hammond is the key piece.

They give the strength next to LB, who can then do his job impeccably, which in turn allows the 2 B's to have the freedom they enjoy, creating space and chances for CMS, et al.
