If he goes to West Ham as is being reported, surely Carlton Cole becomes surplus to requirements at Upton Park. Same could be said for Ameobi at Newcastle...I wonder???

Cole wont go he will reject the move again, Vas Te wont go i dont think.

They sold Baldock and Maynard they need to keep Cole and Vaz Te i would think

This. They'll need them all to stay up! They all offer something slightly different too.

Maybe, but maybe they also have to balance the books as well and Cole will be on quite a large wedge.

cole took a 50% pay cutt to stay at West Ham when they went down, he wont be leaving he loves that club oddly.

Also Carroll deal is just a loan move with no option to buy, very odd.

It was reported that West Ham will pay £17m for Carroll at the end of the season if they stay up and pay his wages in full. That's why it's a loan.

Seems from the press that Carroll wants to stay where he is and 'Fight For His Place'. That's this season's stupid millionaire must-have phrase devised and parrot-trained by nis agent. It means that you are don't want to be seen as a tarnished and therefore devalued commodity and season-long loans are out of the question because it does indeed mean that you are surplus to requirements.

At the Fans Forum I completely fecked up asking a question to Gus about this so called Big Striker. I now realise I have more of a more fecking clue than I thought at the time!!

Maybe the 9pm announcements from both BHA and WHU are Carroll signing for WHU and Cole signing for us?

Andy Carroll doesn't even hold the keys to his own house, he's a huge donkey and Liverpool wasted £35 mil just to impress Kenny. I don't see how he is an improvement in any of the West Ham strikers who are already there and I,d happily have Cole, Maynard or Vaz Ta if they needed to thin their squad

Or as Liverpool fans all said at the time, we didn't really spend 35m cos we sold Torres and replaced him with Suarez and Carroll. Interestingly stupid logic as they still clearly spent 35m as their bank manger could have told em! Mugs
