41 and wear my Vicente shirts with pride, home or away. If someone don't like it, they can f##k off.

This thread is no use without a poll which should include things like age, where it can be worn, etc. SOMEONE PLEASE POST A POLL (which I wouldn't know how to do)

When I started to follow football, there were only ever scarves, but most of the season, it is far too warm to wear a scarf, so, a replica shirt is a sensible option if one wishes to show support for one's preferred team.

Although I always said I would never ever wear a replica shirt I changed my mind with the club's BOGOF offer however, I would never wear a replica shirt other than to an Albion match.

Perhaps we should not comment upon personal preferences !

I'm 44 next month. I think by now I'm old enough to choose for myself what I wear, & unless the situation dictates what I need to wear (i.e. safety wear, smart attire for the office, evening suit for a formal occasion etc.) then I shall please myself & if someone else thinks that I shouldn't be wearing what i am because they don't like it then tough it's their problem.

Otherwise this thread is a nice fishing trip ;-)

Depends, if i see a middle aged bloke wandering around a supermarket in a Brighton (or Derby/Wrexham shirt etc) - i think, not my cup of of tea but so what. However, if they're wearing a manu, chelsea, liverpool shirt and are over 10 - my instant reaction is what c€$^.

Support your team by wearing your shirt or a be a poncy bastard and care about fashion at a football match? Is that ultimately the question.

Everytime this thread comes up it makes me laugh...possibly because this is not even a debate across the pond. If you go to an NFL or NHL game I think its fair to say that 85-90% of the fans will have the shirt on of their respective team. And to see them in public outside of match days is normal

You are very fortunate to have lucky pants. At Withdean I used to have lucky chips. If we were losing or playing badly at half time I would purchase some chips and this would significantly affect our play in the second half. I am now unable to ride to the teams rescue due to the absence of chippage at the Amex and often have to watch us continue to flounder in the second half knowing that, if someone had the foresight to install extractor fans, it could have been so different. Bloom could save wasting a fortune on new strikers by simply correcting this unfortunate oversight.

Wearing football shirts when you are more than a teenager is very, very, sad.

It is bad enough at matches, but the number of chavs who wear them to the pub, shopping, etc. is disturbing. What is this country coming to?

I will wear what I want...when I want, If I want to wear pink silk crouchless panties I will, Thanks though for your opinion.

Out of interest, from anyone's experience, how "big" are the largest size shirts, am a 50" chest and it says 4xl, do people with that size find them a good fit, i only ask as experience has shown me one mans 4xl can end up being another mans 2-3xl

If grown men stopped buying kits the club could lose upwards of 500,000 to a 1,000,000 pounds in revenue a year, maybe more.

Thus those who wear their shirts with pride probably contribute more financially to the club as a whole than the miserable cnuts who moan about it.

I don't think there's a problem - it just shows support. What does annoy me is when people go on holiday abroad (non-football related) and wear it then for no reason. When I'm on holiday and see a bunch of people wearing England shirts, it just makes me cringe

I dont wear mine, haven't since I was about 14, but then that's just personal choice. My old man wears his and he's going on 50, I never say anything, and if I did he'd tell me to politely do one, as he should. As an above poster said, it's one of those personal choices, some like me would like/or have a tattoo, others like wearing replica shirts, I don't.

Certainly not 'wrong' as you put it. Want to wear one, wear one, don't let someone tell you not too.
