It dawned on me last night as I screamed and hollered at the Sir Chris Hoy winning, in a house with just me in it too, that I don't remember the last time the England football team made me feel like that.
I am a complete philistine when it comes to Olympic cycling but the atmosphere and joy from both the fans and the participants and all their back up staff is completely infectious and I was loving it. ( glory hunter I hear you say
)
Is it because these guys, and I'm not just talking about the cyclists are so dedicated or is it because we are winning so much and there is a sudden feel good factor?
I dunno but I'd just love my national football team to make me feel like that again. I know it's not the same but I actually turned off the 1st GB football game after 10 mins and didn't bother to watch any more games at all.
