Just to let those that did not go to the game know. Glenn Murray was very poor. That is all.

From one of their own fans:

Murray 4/10 - looked bereft of confidence, Wilbraham was loads better in the same role in the first half. Really should have scored an easy rebound from an Easter chance but put it well wide. Didn't really provide an outlet as a target man or manage to bring team mates into play. I hope he can get some form together or I fear this may be his last season with us.

Lewes fans after were surprised it was our first pre-season game. "Crisp football... looked very sharp for a first game out... surprised it wasn't the entire first team... looked like they were trying to play proper football... looked fitter than Brighton"

Lewes were a completely different team from Tuesday, lots of trialists and even Wormull the manager played. Different type of football Palace more direct, but good to see them and Brighton early on.

Unsurprising really because Muzza will be in his 2nd season of a 3 season deal , he won't put in any effort again because its easy peasy picking up his wages every week.

Fair few police around the area last night and I saw a guy with his face pretty messed up and blood all over his shirt. Can I assume it was the Palace scum beating up a local, or can anyone tell me any different?

Very poor form if it is the Palace getting punchy- it is not as if they are rivals with Lewes.

Pretty big assumption there, more likely a disagreement between their own fans, either Lewes or Palace.

Spoke with a couple of Palace fans earlier today who thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the pubs and the locals.

Never been to Lewes before but it was great. Good pubs nice people etc.

Good game, Murray was poor but it was our first game. Zaha took the **** for 45 minutes.

That's exactly what they said, Murray was completely disinterested with the game.

Of course they did, sweetcheeks. Back in the real world we both know that you play dull defensive stuff that has driven thousands of fans from watching your lot anymore and has the bookies making you relegation battlers.

Our "dull and defensive" style enabled us to score five. I'll take that.

Last season was dull and defensive.

This season is a different team and formation.

As for driving thousands of fans away, we've sold more season tickets than last year, and we've had more money in due to some of the long-term season tickets ending.

Sounds to me like they've sold 8,250 against 7,000 sold last year.....
